Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

I've enjoyed reading this thread. It's fun watching the chess match between the 'Skins fans and the Fins Fans. Here is my prediction:

Redskins -- 24
Dolphins -- 20

Dolphins will score 10 of those points in two minute offenses late in the fourth quarter, so the game won't really be that close. Redskins' D will score one TD, Campbell will toss in a couple TD passes.

I don't believe the Dolphins D will be pushovers, but I don't see them being as hot as the Fins Fans make them out to be. Last year's rankings were last year's rankings. Our defense is scary good this year AND they have gotten much younger as well.....well, besides the front 4, but we don't really rely on them much anyways.

Dolphins 24 Skins 6

Campbell will be confused by the speedy Dolphins Defence. The leagues worst defence will be back in Dc again and Ronnie Brown will run for at least 130 yards.

We were asking ourselves that same question until D-DAY!
There was an abundant supply of pissed off Fans when they cut Dante and signed Green.

I stood outside Dolphin stadium and screamed for hours "Trent Sucks" Keep Dr.Pepper" but the rent-a-cops finally imposed their will and forced me to leave the premisis.

I really did try and make a difference but it didnt pan out for me personally.

I did manage to start a traffic jam when I mooned the cheerleaders.
So I guess that was something.

Dante should still be in a uniform, Beck should be the future of our franchise Green is another Merc stopping in for a retirement check, as long as he can improve our Offense by 10 points per game he will give us a shot at the playoffs.
We are proud of our defense on most Sundays we just have that offensive sputter condition that hopefully Cam will resolve.

Go Culpepper!
LOL

And with Michael Lehan emerging in the pre-season as a legit #3 corner, we now have a secondary that should be at least as good as last year's if not better. Heck, just that fact that Yeremiah Bell will now be a full-time starter at safety for us should make this year's D better than last season.

Anyway... if you guys want to predict a Skins win, that's fine. It should be a close game and it could easily go either way. But to say that the Dolphins "D" isn't even in the top 10 is just ignorant, barring a horrible rash of injuries or a some other crazy act of god.

Hey Doc, no predicting....WE WILL WIN! FACTOID

But I just caught your post before you edited the post and the gus thing was dumb! You guys have a solid D and we have a very solid underestimated D, that will make a statement in this game.

I think anyone that takes our offense lightly due to JC's first year as a starter is gonna be in for a big suprise....or should I say let down.

It will be a really good way to start the season for US with a close hard fought HOME VICTORY.....you will be in our house and will return to miami with a loss, if you would like to put a waiger on that lets roll.

FINAL:
REDSKINS=17
GAYFINS=13

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

Hey guys,
another phin fan from phinfever.com here...

There have been some really good posts here (and a few homerish ones from both team's fans).

I have to say i think this will definately be a defense battle and it comes down to which team can establish the running game... either way i don't see either team scoring more then 24 points. I willl have ot give the offensive edge to Washington with Betts being a great compliment to Portis, and us introducing a new offensive scheme. On Defense I still believe that Miami has that edge, though washington does look to have gotten better on paper this year i still don't see washington's front 7 forcing any team to go to the air, if they do shut down miami's rushing attack then it will be a long game for miami.

with all that being said i feel this is a game that is tooo close to call even though i hope for a Miami win... either way goodluck and let's ohope for an injury free game.

Green is a 1 year player for us... if that. Beck may be brought in halfway through this season. The new staff didnt like Pep, post injury, and wanted to go in a different direction. And with Cameron's and Mueller's history with QBs... I am definatly willing to take their word on it...
Just cause he knows the offense doesn't mean he can execute it. KC runs the same offense or a similar version and they stunk on offense w/ Green.

What the hell was I thinking? The final score will be Redskins 27, Dolphins 17. I'll bet at least 70 Chip agrees with me.

When he was actually running the Coryell offense... he played well in it. Herm Edwards and the new coaching staff changed that offense when he got there. It wasnt what it was previous years...

I said 27 - 13. They don't have Fulton Walker anymore. But Green will manage one more field goal than Woodley did.
