take nearly the physical punishment. Plus you don't hear about Warner or Farve missing practice or refusing to play in the preseason. Belichick is a coach, how does that even compare? |

Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
For what? To insult the team and throw everybody under the bus when we are mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs in a few weeks?

Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
Heard Zorn this morning say that Portis will start when he comes back, but will be pulled for Betts if he's ineffective. Also, Zorn stated that Portis will not be allowed to come back until he completes a full week of practice.
If he sticks to his word, I'm fine with Portis starting again. With Levi Jones and Chad Rhinehart helping out the line, maybe CP can do something productive again.

Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
canton legend - running backs endure alot of wear and tear. of course portis was a great top 5 back for awhile in this league and was by far our best offensive player for years. we know that.
but portis has over 2,000 carries now, injuries are stacking up, bone spurs dont just go away to my kowledge, and he rarely practices for years now. when turner hits 2,000 carries i doubt he will be just as explosive as he is now. at 300 plus carries a year, turner will need more than 4 straight seasons of 300 plus carries before he is near portis' current wear and tear of 2,100 somethin carries. lol, in 4 - 6 years do you think turner will still be a top 5 or 10 runningback in this league? add in turner will probably not even finish at least one of those years b/c of season ending injury.

im not sure what you're trying to say i know one thing....there arent many backs in the league that are asked to carry their teams anymore......portis is one of the very few and hes one of the very few that is actually capable of doing it on a consistant basis as for the other post....i wasnt trying to call anyone out....just trying to point out how stupid asking someone if they've seen a game actually is |

the 2006 portis was a top 5 top 10 runningback. the 2009 and 2010 portis is not. the 2009 turner is a top 5 top 10 runningback. the 2013 and 2014 turner will not. it seems your stuck on thinking the portis now is the same one who put up 1500 yd seasons. hes not.

Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
do me a favor and dont "address" me later. your absolutism and insistence that your view is right makes for a boring self-centered conversation.

Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
Guys, we're wasting our time. It's great entertainment though. No way in HELL will a fan of another team visit another fan site, invited or not, and is SO adament about a running back who's clearly on the slide.
Think about it, how many of us go to the Giants site and stick up for Brandon Jacobs or Miami's site and stick up for Ricky Williams? I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm getting a kick out of CL. Hey, CL what time are you off work man? LOL |

or i could just tell you that his fumbles are costing the team points, field position, and momentum he is very talented but his fumbles are very costly......bush has an issue with running up the hole....he tends to try and hit homeruns on every touch rather than just take what he can get.....because of it, he strikes out a lot by getting negative yardage and fumbles |
