But if any of you guys want to complain that some people are "whining", look no further than that thread from 2007. My money is that some of you are criticizing Brooking, were whining louder than anyone after that Patriots game.

If your gonna "talk the talk" you need to "walk the walk" to have any credibility.
I remember that thread. There was also a contingent of us warpathers who thought that the Patriots did nothing wrong. Personally, I think what the Pats and Vikes did was classless and dumb. I said as much in 2007 and earlier in this thread.

You're right, there were a few people whining and bitching about the score being run up on the Redskins (I was NOT one of them). When it's your team being badly blown out, as was yours yesterday, you tend to take it differently. We, as Redskins fans, happened to enjoy it since the Cowboys are the team we despise the most. I'm sure Cowboy fans enjoyed the Patriots whipping the Skins a$$ back in 07 (I know I had to listen to it for a few weeks from alot of Dallas fans). Sometimes you've just gotta take it on the chin like a man (not saying you're not) and move on. It hurts worse since the Cowboys had been playing so well in the weeks leading up to this game and for the second year in a row only to lose their final game being blown out. Honestly, I didn't see this one coming. I thought Dallas was going to the Superbowl.

I would politely remind you, you're on a REDSKINS fan site! We're going to rejoice when the Boyz lose. Just sayin'.

Enjoy the off-season!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS.

Also, slightly different situation with the 2007 Pats and the game on sunday. My take in 2007 was that BB was a classless ass and running up the score was just one of many ways in which exhibited his a-holeness.

Yesterday, the Vikes were playing a game where, for the week leading up to the game, the media had been ignoring them and the Pukes had been reading their own clippings. Again, while I don't think it was the "classiest" thing to do, I completely understand the Vikes giving the Pukes and the media the big middle finger.

Fair enough, although you're not the first person to bring this up in this thread. But surely you can see a difference between a message board whining about the score being run up and a player who just got whooped doing the same? I don't think anyone here would have an issue with people on one of your message boards being mad. That's what message boards are for. It's the the fact that a Dallas player complained, and more importantly the way that he complained, that is rubbing people wrong. Take a look at how Gibbs fielded questions about that 52-7 game for a further reference on how to classily handle such a situation.

Yes, the Patriots ran up the score on the Redskins, and several teams during that season including in meaningless games where they kept Brady well after having established multiple TD leads. While that prick Belichick was purposefully doing this the whole season, this was a one time situation. And what do you expect out of a Redskins forum?

Yes, but in the playoffs that "1" is pretty important.

There's a big difference between us yahoos bitching about it on a forum and one of your players bitching about it during the game. If memory serves me right, none of the Redskins complained about it the way Brookings bitched about it.

Once again, Redskins forum...Cowboys our arch enemies...we're not going to feel much sympathy when they lose in the playoffs.

...says the Cowboy fan bearing the crushed Superbowl looks again after witnessing the second worse loss in franchise history since:

LOL, oh brother...

Your guys suck really bad in post-season, and the prima donnas on your team cry like little girls when they talk smack for a week and then get their behinds whooped like they're somebodies children.

Deal with that. What the Pats did or didn't do to us and the collective b***hing among the yokels here at the time has no bearing on the professional football player on your <<<snicker "America's" snicker>>> team chasing the quarterback of the opposing team and trying to find its head coach in order to whine like a p***y because his defensive line couldn't stop the opposing team from scoring points.

Bye the bye, there is a WORLD of difference between what Brooking did and Loyal Fans whining on this site about it when it happens to their team and laughing their butts off when it happens to their archnemesis. You just don't see 'Skins playing pulling crap like that ... or crying like p***ies on the field after getting manhandled 44-6 ... or crying on national TV and telling the world not to blame the QB. You don't see 'Skins PLAYERS pulling ish like that during games. That's because we're the team of Cooke and Gibbs. We have CLASS.

I understand your bitterness, but please spare us...

I'll never forget all the cry babies that day. I mean people here wanted to kill Bill B. Calling him classless, a home wrecker, a cheater....you name it and he was called it here on Warpath. lol. Randll Godfrey even confronted BB after that game. But it got very personal around here cause it was Gibbs. But what people forget was Gibbs did it a few times himself his first go around. It's the NFL and as Gibbs use to say.... "if you're up here long enough eventaully you're going to get a knuckle sandwich." lol.

People aren't cry babies for thinking that running up the score is classless and/or dumb. I thought it was classless and dumb in 2007 and I still think it is classless and dumb in 2010, regardless of who is running up the score. I still have no idea why someone would risk injury to his starters and needlessly show more of his playbook when a "W" is well in hand.

I know that some people want to make a statement, but what kind of statement is made when a key player blows out his knee while running up the score? That the coach takes unnecessary risks with multimillion dollar assets?

Also, I was just a teenager when Gibbs left, but when did Gibbs run up the score?

1992 against the Cardinals. Buges was the coach. He sent in Cary Conklin to throw a meaningless TD to Monk. He also did it to Glandville in 91. But who cares? I don't care if someone does it cause to me it's pro football. It's not classless what Bill B. did nor was it when Gibbs sent in Conklin to throw a pass when the score was out of hand. You're getting your guys some work during a game. Run your offense and defense til the game is over. End of discussion. I get so tired of this running up the score crap. Brooking looked like a punk ass little kid and so did Randall Godfrey.

He has walked off the field refusing to shake the opposing coaches hand. He was involved with another man's wife. He was fined for cheating. He's pretty much been proven to be all those things so what's the problem with calling him what he is? You don't seem to have a problem with calling out our own players or members of the Warpath. A lot of people were pissed after that game but they were just stating the facts about Belecheat. As far as the Cowgirls, they beat Philly pretty bad in the playoffs, I don't recall any whining about running up the score like some sort of injustice was done after that game. And my main point is, I damn sure didn't go to a Cowgirls board to whine about New England like Dallas fans are doing here about Minnesota.

Bill B. is a jackass. He's a grumpy bastard. No kidding. But that wasn't the point when that game went down. They were playing, running their offense and throwing passes and we couldn't do shit about it. So people here made it personal against Bill B. My point was I really don't give two shits what Bill B. does off the field. Keep it on the field, not what the guy does in his personal life.

Dallas losing = . In 1987 , Cowboy players crossed the picket line and got beat by a Joe Gibbs coached team of " walk ons " .... Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys - October 19th, 1987 | Pro-Football-Reference.com ... and went on to win ANOTHER Super Bowl !!!!!!!!! Redskins motto , "tough as nails".... cowboys motto " we get nailed " .

I think the important thing to remember is that this is a REDSKINS forum. One of the greatest joys for any Redskin fan is to bask in the humiliation, ineptitude and failure of our greatest rival and sworn enemy. Classless or not, I don't care. I just love seeing anything Dallas suffer. From the scarecrow owner to fatass phillips to the legion of bandwagon fans that "claim" to be lifers of the pukes but couldn't tell you what number Charlie Waters wore; I revel in childlike delight at the pain and crushing disappointment of all Dallass fans everywhere. So as a REDSKIN fan, I don't care if the score was a classless move or not...I'm GLAD it happened to Dallas and hope it happens again. DALLAS SUCKS BALLS. Suck it. As for you handful of Dallas fans that like to practice voyeurism on our Redskin website, how can you expect any of us to behave otherwise?? Are you that braindead to think that we wouldn't bask in the totality of your constant failure? Take the pounding. It's good for ya.

Wow, you must be really starved for your fanhood. If your team cannot play well enough to satisfy your fandom that you have to take pleasure in a rival team losing a playoff game, then, I pity you.

Gotta ask, who do you root harder for? The Redskins when they play? Or any team playing the Cowboys? If your answer is the later, then your fanhood is in real question. As it would seem that you would take more pleasure in seeing a certain team lose, more than seeing the Redskins win.

And to even mention the words "humiliation, ineptitude and failure", your kidding right?

Redskins resume'
36-44 in the last 5 years (.450)
1 season in the last 9 years with double digit wins
0 division championships in the past 9 years
2 playoff appearances in 10 years
1 playoff win in 10 years

You wanna talk "humiliation, ineptitude and failure", look no further than Landover.

MAke fun of Phillips all you want but facts are facts:

Wade Phillips....lets see 3 years in Dallas:
33-15 regular season record (.686)
2 division championships in 3 years
2 playoff appearances in 3 years
1 playoff win in 3 years.

Lost in Divisonal round in each playoff year. Thats 1 game away from the confernce championship if I am not mistaken.

YOU WISH any Washington coach in the last decade had that on thier resume'.

Charlie Waters - 41 even met him once, got an autograph. Had dinner with Tony Dorsett.

Every team that does well has a certain number of bandwagoners. Like you for instance, you jumped on that Vikings bandwagon simply because of who they were playing. So whose bandwagon are you on this week? Saints? Jets?

(No one knows if the Redskins have bandwagon fans, like I said, "teams that do well".)

Well if a winning teams playoff loss in the divisional round takes your mind off of what your players, owner, a venerable BEVY of coaches, has done for the fan base for the past DECADE, well then I am happy for you.

I got news for you Sandy, 'round these parts hating the Cowboys is a big part of our fanhood. In fact, it's mandatory. It's like taking the SAT, LSAT, or GMAT. You don't go to the next level as a Redskins fan until you've displayed, consistently, sufficient hate and vitriol for the ugliest, slimmiest, scummiest, sorriest (those are 12th words) team on the planet. Don't get it twisted. We love to hate the Cowboys and ain't nothing wrong with that.
