I know that Shanahan is a good coach, but I am not a fan at all and am less than impressed with Kyle. It's completely absurd the Roydell Williams and Joey Galloway are still on this NFL roster 8 games into the season. Why not just bring up Austin to see what he's got? I mean really, is he going to do worse than zero catches? It's beyond me how you have a very capable, if not great, Derrick Dockery inactive every week while KL plays turn style with defensive tackles every game. Sure this team has missing pieces, but what team doesn't?

You have to understand we dont have the studs upfront to be a successful 3-4 right now. And I dont believe we have the LB's to play it either. Beside Orakpo and Fletcher, the other two are playing out of position. When you dont have the personel the D is going to struggle, that is fact. this team was built with the personel to run a 4-3. The coaches should have recognized that and played the 4-3 until we had the people to switch. Hastlett has done a pretty decent job in the NFL of coaching defenses.
I agree about the WR. They are crap. Galloway is horrible. He does nothing for the offense. You can't tell me that Thomas was worse than Galloway. I bet they are kicking themselves for putting Kelly on IR, when he could be helping right now. We had opportunity to address the issue at WR and we didn't.
Dockery, have no clue why he isn't playing. Shanny drafted the guy playing LG, so i guess that has something to do with it. but have a hard time believing Dockery is as bad or worse than this dude.

100% agree. And anyone who keeps blaming this on a switch to a 3-4 isn't paying attention. We actually spend the majority of the time in 4-3 looks, we just juggle it around more than with Blache. But it's not working. Haslett's scheming is clearly shit.

Rabach is soooo pathetic but he gets made a captain and gets an extension?? Whaaaa?

I guess for me whats even more troubling than the on-field play (I wasn't expecting more than a .500 team this year) are all the personnel blunders. The Haynesworth debacle, Artis Hicks, Jamaal Brown, Lichtensteiger, Joey Galloway, Roydell Williams (you mean to tell me Devin Thomas couldn't be out-performing these two??), benching McNabb and how he explained it, etc etc. Shanahan has made some serious mistakes.

I'm not calling for his head after 9 games, but still...

I would only keep him if he changes his attitude, he picks fights, showing off (flexing bullshit), he needs to get rid of all the "stupid look at me" attitude and play the game.

He is one of our best players on defense, but considering we are currently 31st in pass defense, ditching him for some picks wouldn't be that crazy. Hall is by far the only keeper in the defensive backfield. We have so many holes to fill, and fill with quality players it isn't funny. That is why I say in hindsight getting Donovan might have been a waste of a move. The guy is better than JC for sure, but could you give the guy something to work with? Banks, AA, and K Williams are the only potential bright spots for 2011. I like Torain, but he obviously isn't very durable, so another young RB is in the works in the next few drafts or unsigned FAs post draft. Portis needs to be put out to stud, and we need to find a replacement for Moss. His best days are behind him. He has something left in the tank, but he is on the downward slope of his career.

I want to see Davis play, he could be a diamond in the rough.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

I really don't care about the flexing or other BS, that stuff is just part of his game take it or leave it, he's been one of our few bright spots and should be in the Pro Bowl. Getting rid of him would just create another big hole to fill. It's not gonna happen.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

Landry is only 26 and a playmaker. Maybe when he's 30 or 31, then we can consider ditching him, but not now.

Agreed. Landry is the least of our worries on defense.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

I've grown as a fan to the point where I don't speculate on what moves need to be made, unless it's a completely obvious one like getting rid of Joey Galloway, so I'm not going to speculate on who should stay and who should go.

I just want to have faith that our coaching staff/front office are making the right moves, and I want to see progress on the field. Lets just hope that next offseason we find the right mix of smart moves that will make us better on the field.

I just wonder about that off season meeting.. I mean we were in need of at least a number #2 wide receiver...

"So guys.. We need a #2 WR... Any ideas?"

"... Joey Galloway is available.. He's old as dirt, but produced really well from 2002-2007..."

*Everyone unanimously agrees*

.. I mean really? Of all the WR's they could've chosen from, they decided on 39 year old (his birthday is in a few days.. wiki!) Joey Galloway? I mean hell, they might as well have asked Brad Johnson to come back and QB for a few seasons. Someone in the FO is really screwing it up. I guess it's russian roulette as to who it is.

Sigh. Guess I'll never understand this team.

THIS TEAM NEEDS TO BE GUTTED LIKE A FISH. Nothing worse than having an old team that is below average. Clean house. From the QB, to anyone that is older than 25. I'd even get rid of Shanahan and his dorky looking son. I want a guy like Raheem Morris who can communicate with the young players, knows how to handle them and would be in for a rebuilding project. This team isn't going ANYWHERE with the current group. TIME TO REBUILD, NOT RE LOAD.
