Sounds good Smoot but makes no sense. Not you, but the situation in general. What will Rex show him that he has not already seen? Shanny is pointing the finger at eveyone but himself. It's time.

Why hasnt B. Bankks been given a bigger roole as WR? That may have helped DM out some. There are many adjustments that can be made with what we have to work with. That's just 1 example and thats on Shanny. IMO

This was my point in previous post, but what purpose is now served by benching DMac?

Re: Report: Grossman Starting on Sunday

The only way i can get on board with McNabbs benching is if Shanahan applies the same rule accross the board -
1) Rabach's been ineffective. time for him to go.
2) If the offense doesnt explode under Grossman, then kyle shanahan must be fired for innefectiveness. zorn could come back as offensive coordinator. he'd represent an immediate upgrade over kyle.
3) Haslett and and the entire defensive coaching staff.

Who knows with the coaches but it's pretty obvious that a lot of these players are going to be gone, hopefully including Rabach which we are all looking forward to.

Hmmmmm, maybe it wasn't all AH, yup I said it. How the hell can DM be the scapegoat with so many flawed positions around him, also if this is a transitional year why this move now??? Shanny's job must already be on the line.

Re: Report: Grossman Starting on Sunday

I haven't read too many posts. My first reaction is I'm not suprised and I can't say as I blame them for trying another QB. Our season is lost. No playoffs. DM hasn't been playing well even though the Oline is obviously bad. Even w/ that he isn't playing very well. I can't blame him, b/c he's been getting killed this year. Why not give the other guy some time?

I'm just made that we gave away a couple draft picks for him if he isn't our future.

if only we hadnt given up a 2nd and a 3rd rounder for a guy who would be benched for a guy who was already on the roster after 13 weeks.

All true, but spilled milk nonetheless. I just don't believe that Shanahan fully appreciated what a circle jerk, cluster **** of a franchise he was inheriting. Now that he has a grasp of the scope of this job, he's blowing it up and starting over. About 8 months after I would have liked to have seen it happen, but oh well.

what are you talking about? shanahan didnt inherit mcnabb. he went out of his way to acquire mcnabb and gave up two high draft picks to do it. this isnt a situation he inherited. its a situation he created himself. thus far, shanahan's took a franchise that was already dead and has made it even worse.

I see your point, but for all we know Shanhan's marching orders from DS could've been;
1) see if you can make some moves to win now
2) build a team for the future

So, in shan's defense, either by his decision or by Snyder's, it sounds like getting McNabb was to make the playoffs & win now to some degree. Now that is over, so he's looking to the future. I appreciate the latter, I just don't think the timing is very smart. Wait till the offseason to make a decision like that. Shanahan has to maintain a good relationship w/the rest of the team, I think he just set himself back a lot in that regard.

I'm talking about the fact that Shanahan didn't realize the team was already ****ed, so he thought swapping for a marginal QB would actually make a difference. Upon seeing that we are far, far, far from contention, he obviously realized that having a veteran high profile QB that has only downside ahead doesn't make a lot of sense.

Yeah I had brought that up earlier. However, Shanny has apparently clarified and said DM is #2 this week and then Beck will be #2 for the last two games of the season.

Grossman is remembered for the sack and TD in the Lions game this year, but really that wasn't his fault. Apart from that he did fairly decent in his limited minutes in the Lions game. I'm not about to label him the next Chase Daniel but if, if, this works and Kyle/Rex get this offense rolling...that will be something
