By my count we are in need of about 12-13 new starters :
2 wr's
3 oline
1 ilb
1 safety
1 cb
2-3 dline
1 punter
Kai - maybe. Dude cant kick it into the endzone and isnt exactly money on fg's but he is ok.
We need ALOT of depth. Probably 5-6 quality guys. Than there is special teams minus the new punter and /or kicker. That is so far and above the 36 mill in capspace. We dont have a first round pick. I just completely depressed myself about the next couple years! Shanny and BA have dug us a deeper hole than we had. This is bad. Very bad.

Obviously you can't fix everything overnight. But you can at least shore things up enough to be competitive again next season.

If we hit on almost all free agent moves, cuts, and draft picks we can be an 8-8'ish team. Ugghh.
I think we can....i think we can.....lol

U am still of the mindset if we have an average defense we are at worst 7-5 right now

Thats tough to say. I mean there have been a few of those games where our offense showed up in garbage time. Our wr's and oline is shit and there is no way around it. Just to tough to say.....

Re: Skins Giants postgame

After last season, I thought we were only a few players away from being a Super Bowl contender. So far this season, I feel like a full rebuild is in order. Which is it? How far off are we really?

Well in the NFL things change so fast, look at ATL and HOU.

I think we build around RG3 and TW on Offense and get some playmakers on D in FA not a bunch but at least a couple and we can contend next yr again

What I believe is that coaching competency will do wonders for Griffin and then Griffin in turn will do wonders for the perception of talent on the roster, much like he did last year.

I think this team is really far away from being a Super Bowl favorite. It's probably not that far away from being a Super Bowl underdog. Two drafts away if everything goes well.

I think he's innocent. The story floating around is the girl got mad cause she was his side piece and he told her not to bother him while his real GF came in town for a visit. Apparently there's a couple of witnesses who back up his story. However, I wonder why it's taking so much time for the DA to make an announcement.

I know others have bought this to your attention but they do have an little bit to do with the players on the field. They are Shannys guys. Either they shouldnt have been drafted / bought here or they havent been coached up. No way around that.

I was being sarcastic in my previous comment. I know the coaches are responsible for a lot of what is going on. But at the same time, my point is that we are not very talented, and that also needs to be fixed.

A lot of our current players plain suck and shouldn't be starting on an NFL team. But due to a combination of poor planning (coaches/management) and bad fortune (36 mil cap hit) they are starting.

Re: Skins Giants postgame

It's pretty clear now that RG3 and the read option covered up a lot of our issues last year. When your QB only throws 5 picks vs accounting for 27 TDs, that will cover up a lot of holes on any team.

Yep and now we don't really run it anymore so RG3 is changing his game and it takes time to learn a new style, plus we just lack the talent on O
