In response to the Shanny remark about Cousins, an even simpler response from Dan:

"As I have felt since first hiring him, I fully support M.Shanahan in his coaching decisions. As has been true since his first offseason here, Mike is entitled to have full and ultimate control of the product he puts out on the field."

Well, I do agree with keeping RGIII healthy for next year, but Mike Shanahan has just admitted that he and his coaching staff did such a poor job of putting together a competent offensive line that he's not willing to play his franchise quarterback for the sake of getting him hurt. But, he's OK with playing Kirk Cousins. LOL! Wow. Just Wow.

Snyder needs to do the right thing and do it this week. Fire Mike early this week so the remaining coaches have some time to put together a gameplan for the weekend. This needs to happen right away.

My point is that he is doing this hoping Snyder fires him so he can collect his money next year. It's a big Fuck You from Mike to Snyder... And that Mike is not the only one to blame... Where is you anger for Snyder and RGIII? Where is the outrage at a young QB that needs to shut his mouth, take responsiblity for his crappy year and not throw other teammates under the bus or at an owner that continues to have "personal realtionships" with star players that ruins morale? Much as I think the MS deal is done, I fully expect for DS to give Shanny his full year. Mike has filled the coaching roster with his guys. Just removing Mike (and Kyle) would not remedy anything and could "poison the well" even worse by leaving Shanahan's assistants around to turn players against each other and Snyder. Removing all of Shanahan's guys would likely leave the team unable to function on the most basic level and could even endanger players health.

Dan gives Mike all the rope he wants and lets him hang around for three weeks ... then press conference, thank you, good bye.

If RG3 was playing good football then he'd finish out the season. This is part performance based and part sticking it to Snyder. Not sure if Cousins is going to do any better w/ roller skates playing right tackle.

I have extreme outrage for Dan Snyder, unfortunately he isnt going anywhere so I learned a long time ago to leave that anger alone. On top of that, Snyder has been invisible for four years until MS found himself on the hotseat and all of the sudden there is this crap ass soap opera bullshit about him and RG-3 being in bed together and undermining Mike? Bullshit. Mike lost the ship because he is a poor coach/draft guy and now is grasping for straws. Griff is a 24 year old kid getting his ass handed to him on a weekly basis because of the pourous oline Mike built in front of him. Even if they are all to blame I expect more couth from my headcoach than i do from a 24 year old kid or from an owner. Fuck Mike and the horse he rode in on.

I agree... Mike deserves to fired twice over... The whole thing stinks, and I blame all of them... And to think this last year was an aberration... It just sucks to be in the same boat what seems like a 4 to 5 year cycle of suckiness, then we get hot and make a good run, really feel positive about moving forward just for the same thing to happen...

Yeah, I don't think anything is worst than being 0-16.

Actually there is, being 0-16 in a big market like Washington or New York.
