Don't know if MS stays nor not but he says the decision to bench RG3 was an agreement between Snyder, Allen and himself. All had to be in agreement and if anyone didn't agree he would keep RG3 on the field.

So it doesn't sound like Snyder is pissed that RG3 is being benched. Said 2 years of no preseason work is detrimental to a QB. Said that was the reason for benching RG3 cause RG3 can't afford to get hurt again or worse and miss all offseason a second time.

Any chance, any at all, Snyder, Allen, and Shanahan are all on the same page and not as upset as the media is playing this BS? Any chance we fans are getting all worked up over nothing? and MS comes back next year for his final year? I mean if you know your on the verge of getting fired you don't talk like there might be an extension coming ... right?

Sounds like the powers that be sat down and talked about some stuff. Wonder if MS will get his final year to right this ship or be sent packing.

a commercial - "You won't believe it's not Robert"

Three more weeks of this madness. God help us all.
LMAO. Bravo.....

You're right. I thought about that after I posted.

I'd say next year is going to be a big deal, if he has a down year, we need to start thinking about other options. But a lot of it is going to depend on if we get significant upgrades at certain positions.

I actually think Shanahan did exceptionally well in the conference today. He seemed honest and forthright. He said Dan was 100% behind the decision to bench RGIII. He also admitted he made a mistake for not pulling him from the Seattle game.

To be completely honest, im starting to think there is a chance (although not a overwhelming one) that Shanahan comes back next year.

Yea I got the same feeling. Which is why I kept telling people to stop getting their panties in a bunch. I thought MS did very well in the presser.

He first better repair his relationship with his QB. Why I continue to be a fan of this circus is beyond me.

I'm confused.... His relationship with Cousins seems to be fine what does he have to work on?

These boards are going to get pretty quiet when Cousins inevitably stinks up the joint.

I hope Cousins does well, it'd be nice to win for a change. But Cousins isn't gonna start for the Redskins, I mean he'd have to have 3 Peyton Manning type showings for him to even get consideration to be a starter here. And I don't even think that would do it.

He completely might. WE don't know cause he didn't get 90% of the reps his first year and when he did get 90% of the reps in the off season they benched him for the guy who did nothing but therapy on his knee all off season.

If you guys are expecting Cousins to walk on the field and run a spread offense with the read option and be better then RG3 then your nuts. Which I presume you guys already know and are saying Cousins will be worse. I agree.

But, if Cousins is not asked to run a spread offense/read option and is only asked to run Mike Shanahan's offensive scheme MS ran in Denver then Cousins I think could pull it off. Elway pulled it off. and Elway was no RG3.

Who knows maybe there was some big meeting with Snyder, Allen and Shanahan and they all agreed to get away from the read option and Kyle Shanahan's scheme and have Mike Shanahan use his scheme he used in Denver for his last year. If he can get RG3 up to speed reading defenses and making the right decisions then great if he can't then hopefully Cousins sitting two years made good use of the time to study the opposing defenses.

Snyder is really in a lose-lose situation. If he's not behind it, Shanny's right and he paints himself as a tyrant. Supporting Shanny means the Redskins organization looks like the idiot ship with Shanny as captain and himself as first mate.

Figure he picked the lesser of two evils.
