Bravo!

Now let's see how this "prove it" deal pans out...

Well some good news. Thank god. We still need DL help, bad but I guess that is draft focused. I really like to see us bring in a RB though too, Kelley just doesn't impress me.

Pretty surprised Pryor signs a one year deal...would've thought he'd gotten a better deal from someone else.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings

One year $8M for Pryor is a better deal than what Garcon and Jackson got at their age.

It's not a long term deal but if you're being intellectually honest here you have to give Bruce some kudos on this one. Good move.

Suddenly we have red zone threats. 6'2" Josh Doctson who can jump out of the gym, 6'4" Pryor, and Reed.

We'll need to come up with a deep threat in the draft though. Crowder's good but more speed would be a win.

Pryor is 6' 4", but also ran a 4.38 40 . . . desean ran a 4.35 . . . so pryor IS a deep threat . . . and Doctson ran a 4.44 or something . . . speed and size is damn nice to pair together

DeSean may have run a 4.35 at the combine but he's a 4.2 guy. Definitely faster. But I get your point Pryor is no slouch. I would rather have the red zone threat anyway, Jackson was great but he disappeared when the field got short.

Yeah he didn't catch much at all within the 25yd area. Most were deep balls. He's always been that though

Wonder if the decision for a 1 year deal has anything to do with the Kirk Cousins uncertainty.

Doubt it. I think Pryor's camp expected lots of interest and there just wasn't that much. OTOH, the Skins get a good receiver who just about matched Garcon for last season at a much cheaper price (and much younger). Add to that Pryor now knows if he has another very good year, he gets PAID. Doesn't hurt that he can box out guys OR even run the wildcat in the red zone. Nice deal.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings

Pryor for 1 year is excellent. Literally no risk. If Doctson stays healthy we're Gucci at receiver next year. Colt McCoy should be thrilled by this signing.

Plus he could be a stealth candidate for QB. Who knows what our thinking is on that topic these days...

Lol
