Re: 3/18 @4pm NFL Free Agency & Trading Period
The NFLPA and the NFL Management Council have agreed to push the deadline for franchise/transition tagging players to Monday morning at 11:59am Eastern.
If the new CBA passes on Saturday night, teams will have one tag available to them, their choice of the franchise tag or transition tag. If the CBA does not pass on Saturday night, teams will have both tags available to them to use. So the new cutoff point for the Brandon Scherff negotiations will be Monday morning, at which time the Skins will almost certainly apply the franchise tag if by that point they've not reached a long term deal with him. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...eadline-monday

The legal tampering period will then begin one minute later, at 12 noon on Monday.

Re: 3/18 @4pm NFL Free Agency & Trading Period
Cincy is drafting Burrows because they need a QB and he had a fantastic year. In an alternate universe if the Bengals draft Chase then we’ll get a mega-deal trade from Miami. Just not going to really happen except in some people’s dreams.
The Redskin’s interest in Tua is a smokescreen to generate trade offers for our #2 pick. Unfortunately, no one in the NFL believes the Tua idea because Rivera, Del Rio and Snyder are absolutely drooling for Chase Young. But it’s good for pre-FA news fodder when there’s nothing else to write about. Our big FA move is going to be Hooper. We absolutely need him because otherwise we have to hope to draft a TE with a third round pick or worse, in a small TE draft pool. The next moves will be to sign Flowers and signing Scherff or franchising him. I think Cooper would be great but he’s too expensive with all our other needs. We need a good to excellent LB,CB, FS in FA and maybe a one year WR and a carry over OT also. We might even wing it with just drafting a WR ( no WR FA) and hope to get a starter from several draft/UDFA WR and Harmon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also, if Burrow were to fall to us, then I think we would be foolish not to take him if our staff believes that he could become an All-Pro QB. I like a lot of things about Haskins but I don't see how anybody could have already reached the conclusion that he should be anointed the Future of the Franchise. Do I expect these things to happen? Of course not. I'm just saying that big draft day surprises sometimes do happen. |

Burrow is a southern Ohio boy. Even Bengals management can figure out the fan blow back they will get if they don't choose one of their own with the first pick.

Didnt Burrows already pledge money to the Ohio food banks or something along those lines? Burrows to Ohio is even a bigger lock than Chase to the Skins.

Chase Young is going to Redskins at #2. 2nd lock of all locks.
InOk, stop talking Tua. Don't put that evil on me Ricky Bobby.

Re: 3/18 @4pm NFL Free Agency & Trading Period
Personally I can’t wait to see Chase wearing the burgundy and gold. He’s going to scare QB, especially after he gets a few sacks and then Sweat improves on the other side.

Re: 3/18 @4pm NFL Free Agency & Trading Period
Just as important as striking fear into opposing QBs, he will rent space in the brains of offensive coordinators. They'll have to plan around him from Week 1. Having a guy that can actually impact the offense's game plan is something we haven't had since Sean Taylor.
