Some very unique team backside running pursuit drills. now we see why Shanahan wants Al to do the test. #Redskins |

An inside look at the NFL conditioning tests | National Football Post
Good read from Matt Bowen who says this 300 yard shuttle is nothing out of the ordinary. |

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I have to applaud Mike S. for laying down the damn law. As someone else said this is exactly what this team needs. The drama queens had better get in line. There is still a price to pay for putting yourself above the team.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I don't see any downside to this for Shanahan and the Redskins.
For one, Shanny's endearing the team and fans to himself by doing this. Secondly, Albert has zero room to stomp off the field and risk being suspended or fined, but on the other hand Albert can start rehabing his image by playing along and showing he's willing to do what it takes. As far as the so called media circus and this being a distraction, eh..I don't think Shanahan cares a hill of beans about that. He's mroe concerned about the guys inside the locker room, not the ones outside the locker room. |

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
It's not a downer at all. It gets me excited. The players(minus DeAngelo) have come out against Al. The fans have come out against Al. And we finally have a coach with a set that is willing to hold his fat ass to the fire.
Al is a martyr to the lazy, and who the hell is going to cry over his lazy, spoiled ass getting a little shit in his face? I think most of us fully support MS with this effort. Other than his normally scheduled pressers every day, how is this a distraction. Practice goes on. The team is getting better. |

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I could understand that, and if it continues too long, I would agree. But one or two or 4 days of being in the doghouse because he didn't work out with the team isn't going to kill this team. Also, I don't think it's overshadowing the on field work yet so for now, it's all good.

I think Shanahan is taking the right approach, given the hand that was dealt to him and could have been avoided, and I support him 110%. |
