I'm quite positive he meant 4-3. I'm assuming he did anyways or I at least gave him the benefit of the doubt.

The more I think about Rak, I think he should be shopped. He may not be the right fit for an OLB in a 3-4. He really fell off this year even though we upgraded the whole unit.

If he is a piece we can part with to get a QB then I am all for it. We can find another player who plays as well as him quicker then we will find another QB we really like.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)

I think what it boils down to is the QB we draft whether it be Tannehill, Foles, RGIII, Luck can they be = or > Matt Schaub. That was Kyle's QB in Houston and their offense was pretty good their defense just sucked. Yes they had Foster and Johnson but let me make the comparison. I think we can all agree that we have two good RBs in Roy Helu and Evan Royster. If we bring back Hightower (which I doubt if we want to draft Rainey) that's 3 good RBs. Combined they can equal or surpass Foster's production. TE play we have them beat as either Cooley or Davis > Owen Daniels in my book. Now it boils down to Andre Johnson. Can Hankerson be that guy? Maybe. Do we draft Blackmon? Possibly but that is they way I break it down with the development of the offense.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

The Redskins need to draft two rookie QBs. We are very unset at the quarterback position. We not only need to upgrade the starting QB position, but the back up position as well. I like Jonathan Crompton, as he has developed from off of the practice squad all of last season. But don't be surprise if the Redskins draft both RG3 and Weeden in April. If not that, then RG3 and Kellen Moore.

That isn't going to happen. (spending two high round picks on QBs) I wouldn't want them to either. One rookie QB is sufficient. You need somebody with experience that can step in if something happens to the starter in the season. Besides, Mike ran with only 2 QBs last season so having 2 rookies is definitely a no-go in my book.

A high round and a late round QB are not out of the question. I'd be happy if we did this. That said, it would be hard to get RGIII and Weeden since they both should go relatively high.

With our roster structure being the way it is, we can't afford to do that. One of our QB's will be a FA signing.

Sure we could, I think it's quite probable that an early picked is used on presumed starter to be, Rex is re-signed for a couple of years as the vet backup/compete for starting, and a mid to late round pick is used on a qb to groom as a backup.

SmootSmack, by no means do I or did I mean any disrespect. I know it sounds bad with me saying "I call BS". I usually stay away from calling people out and am not trying to call you out now. You've eluded to where you work and I'm sure if not positive you have inside information which is why I respect what you have to say. I listen. I do believe that your info was from a reliable source/sources. My point before was I think the Skins organization is passing bogus info and could even be contacting the other teams just to throw everyone off. If checked and double checked it will show there is something to the rumors cause people will be people and spill the beans. I was not trying to call you out but it seems that way and I'm usually a fan who hates it when others do that. Again I was not calling you out, I was calling the information out. I think the Skins are putting a lot of disinformation out there to throw everyone off what they are intending to do.

Again no disrespect I have valued your information in the past and will enjoy your information in the future. Thank you for all you do for this site and the rest of us.

No need to apologize. I just didn't understand where you were coming from because what's out there is we ARE interested in Peyton, we ARE interested in Flynn, we DO want to trade up for Griffin. Yet, while that may be true, it's not the info I'm getting and providing. In fact it's quite the opposite. Now I may end up being totally wrong. But the info I'm providing is clearly not what's out there.

And again I do apologize and understand you are passing info you are learning. I'll let you say I told you so until your happy if any of it comes to pass. I would never have thought we would be interested in McNabb either and when the media picked up on it I wanted to cry because I expected a huge let down due to his diminishing skills and injuries. I figure if your right I'll cry again. I'm sure the team has explored every avenue to trade up and explored what it might take just to keep their options open. I just don't see them making the trade.

Well, for the record, in my original post I do say that I think they'll fall short in their attempt. But that's my own personal opinion.

Anyhow, let's move on

I think Mike has one of these on his desks.
