Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

This was a great and much need division win. That puts us currently at 3 / 1 vs Division opponents. Unfortunately the Bryce Brown fumble made the Cowpukes 3 and 2 in the division.

I just hope we can shut out the last two division games and end 5 / 1 in the division.... That would make my year.

We give up yards but I'll take holding NY to 16 points every time. The D did more than did their job last night. However, if Eli hits a few, today is a totally different story.
I had posted earlier in the week that I had expected Jackson to have more sacks this year but didn't know if it was him or the way Haslett was using him. They ran some stunts in the second half and Jackson got a sack. I agree with you. Eli had time to take a nap back there at times and you can only cover a guy so long. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us try to get a pass rushing lineman next year. In fact we really need one. I really thought Jenkins would turn out to be that guy and he still may. But Haslett needs to come up with something this year. Our secondary needs all the help they can get.

As such, Kyle has created a new animal that the NFL has never seen.

Three cheers for Kyle!
should fans start a petition to keep Kyle?

But if at this point, you can't acknowledge that it's not RG3 winning in spite of the coaches then I don't know what to say
We are winning because i have not cooked any chicken wings the past three games and I have been eating ribs.

I had no problem with Haslett last night. He called a great game and was mixing things up all night long. As much as teams throw on us we should have more sacks. Kerrigan and Jackson have been a major disappointments rushing the passer.

Can't win 'em all, just watch any game and let us know if you find a perfectly called and executed game. Sometimes the D just does their job.
True. But you have to admit, at times.... Kyle just tries to get too damn cute. Other than 2-3 plays he was just fine last night.

I'll have to say its hard to fault our secondary with our lack of pass rush. If I heard correctly our leading sack man has 3 1/2 and thats Orakpo.

Eli could have taken a nap in that pocket last night.

I'd have to think Mr. Snyder would make Kyle the highest paid OC in the league if/when he starts entertaining offers.

The only complaint I would have about Kyle is some of his calls really leave you scratching your head thinking, "wtf?" But the good part is that a lot of the time the opposing d-line is also doing the same thing. He can get them so confused it's funny. I mean laugh out loud funny. A lot of times the DE's have no idea what's happening.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

We only produce QB pressure when we bring it from odd players/angles and that can only work every now and then. And we simply don't cover well to get much in the way of coverage sacks or pressure enough to hide our lack of coverage. Its the chicken or the egg. We need just one person on that line to start winning battles more consistently. That would tighten the D up enough to really give us a shot to do something here.
