id like to change my answer to not being able to convince and land peyton manning. i know we tried and peyton didnt even consider us but could you imagine the difference having peyton would have been .... endless positive possibilities.

Well if the 'skins had Peyton Manning behind this offensive line, he'd be on the sidelines for half of the season.

Not to mention this defense being so bad that you'd see the 'skins playing catch up in every game. Probably would not have been the same results as Peyton in Denver.

This probably would not have been feasible with the $36 million dollar penalty cap.

Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era

i thought shanny and his son did a great job of implementing their schemes on offense, dealing with fat albert, bringing accountability to the team (before this season) and designing an offense in which a rookie could excel and win ROY.

however, leaking this story and just the state of the skins now .. he and his son have to go. i dont know what the skins do from here but hopefully someone can build around rg3 and fix the defense.

Last year I thought mike was the coach of the year , the way he implemented the ZR offense for RG3 was just amazing and we dominated defenses with it, idk wtf happened but it's the complete opposite now

I also remember Shanny quitting on the team at 3-6, and Griffin catching fire against Philly and Dallas, catapulting the team to the 7-0 finish.

Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era

Shanahan felt that the 3-4 causes more turnovers. I agree that too much time was invested in changing the defense. Mike Tomlin is a 4-3 guy but didn't at all change the Steelers 3-4 de defense bbecause it was a strength. Shanahan is incompetent in this regard and should have left the defense the way he found it when he arrived.

What a shocker. The Texans arent interested in Shanahan? Crazy. I figured this guy would be all the rage after his failure in Washington that made Jim Zorn look like Vince Lombardi. Hmmm.

Agreed. Fletcher and defense also bailed Mike out in the 2nd half of last season.

Stephen A is loudmouth idiot, and I think the whole world knows who is the culprit as far as all the drama in DC. Griff just wants to win, Shanny is the stubborn mfer who would rather go down in flames than admit he is wrong.
