Didn't teams that went 0-14 and 0-16 have the same controversy over the team quitting? Coaches job security? Fans taking out billboards to beg a coach or owner be replaced? Seems to me you don't get a worse record than us without the team quitting or everybody being embarrassed.

This is still disgraceful, it just hurts more because it's happening to us, and we shouldn't tolerate it.

Actually there is, being 0-16 in a big market like Washington or New York.

Things are very bad for our team, but let's not be over dramatic here.
I was responding sarcastically to Moobys post, but honestly are three meaningless wins better than this drama going on in DC? My point was that if we were 0-16 and playing with a purpose atleast - not throwing each other under the bus, etc, I would feel better than I do about this team rite now.

I see what you are saying, but all everyone remembers from that Lions' season is that they went 0-16.

Fair enough. I dont want to be 0-16 just because i am a fan. I will take 1-15 minus the bologna in a heartbeat though.

Yup. Its brutal. I really thought we had turned a corner. We were getting Rak, and Carriker, and BW back. Another year in the 3-4 under our belts. Consistency in the coaching staff. Griff was gonna b healthy and even if he wasnt ready for week one I liked what I saw out of Cousins and felt confident he would do until Griff was ready. We had addressed the secondary through the draft. Seemed like a 10-6 team that was trouncing Seattle until Griffs injury was going to only get better. I mean we didnt lose anyone. Than - Bam - week one we got our asses handed to us and never recovered. By far the most dissapointing season Ive witnessed imo.

Im not saying those teams were good. Those teams however were not coming off of 10-6, division winning seasons, in situations where things seemed to be on the upswing. Ofcourse coaches lose their jobs when they have seasons like that, but there aint circus music playing in the background. I dont really remember that Bucs team, but I bet they fought tooth and nail for a W up till the end. I do not remember the Lions quitting either. They just sucked. This is different. If anything I compare us more to the current Texans, Falcons teams in terms of dissapointment. But even there it is not a God damn media circus like it is here.

Yeah, like Mike said in his presser, Atlanta's got the same record with a bigger let down than we have.

I blame the same thing for the circus now, as the circuses in years past. It starts with our owner, and ends with the media and fans. That's been the case before Shanahan, and probably afterwards. LOL at the same media fanning the flames of our situation asking Shanny and others "Gee, why is there so much talk in the media about this controversy?"

To be fair, I haven't heard Snyder say anything bad about this situation, just media rumors. We'll see what happens.

Re: Chiefs vs. Skins Post-Game

i think mike did well in the press conference under the circumstances.

i think it is not as bad as we are thinking and speculating.

i think mike and bruce did a good job drafting.

im guessing a regime change will happen after week 17.

Dude, really?

I have always prided myself in the fact that I will wear my Skins gear after a loss as much as I would after a win. I am no fair weather fan, but I couldn't do it today. It is just too hard to deal with today. The Skins are an embarrassment. There is no nice way to say that. It is not the "Chicken Little" group overreacting. The Washington Redskins are the worst organization in the NFL, right now. It is a fact.
