Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I saw fury road today. The action is impressive and is on an absolute grand scale, but don't expect anything other than a simple plot with limited dialog.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Fury road was amazing. Absolute master piece. The world and cinematography were beautiful. Hands down one of the best action films of the past decade. Hell, even Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 98% rating. No CGI bullshit, real scenery and action. Can't beat it.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I liked the first two thirds... kinda meh towards the end. For some reason, I thought the robot was Daenerys (from GOT) while watching most of the film haha.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
saw mad max. if you told me the whole movie was basically a post-apocalyptic car chase where they drive down a road for the first half of the movie, then turn around and spend the the second half driving back down the road they just came from .. i would say "worst movie ever" .. but it was pretty damn good.
the directing, editing, cinematography were excellent and deserved nominations and awards ... but i dont think it should have been nominated as a best movie.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
The reverent is a damn good movie. Dicaprio and tom hardy are both really good. I think u could have edited out about 15minutes..little long. cinematography is great with the landscape.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
cinematography is a+++. probably the best part of the movie tbh. i found the movie fine, but it seemed a bit aimless/meandering. it's looks great though, and the acting is good.

Hunger Games finale 8/10 more action than plot.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I'm not normally a big horror fan but The Babadook was pretty good.
