But then again, you're the same guy who said we'll never win so long as Snyder is the owner anyway so what does it matter who is the QB?

Damn there is some intense debate going on here. Might be too intense for the "parking lot" type like me...

Re: Give Props to Brunell
I'm not even lying, I have dreams at night that Brunell gets hurt and JC comes in and plays like Manning. I'm going to bed right now, where my after midnight redskins are undefeated and have won 10 superbowls.
All love. -peace

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Brunell was adequate. He made a few passes, and of course, gave the Cowboys a turnover on the botched snap.
What scared me is that, on the Redskins' last drive, when we were setting up for the field goal kick that Novak missed, Brunell snapped the ball with 12 or 13 seconds left on the 25-second clock instead of letting it go to 1 second and leaving the Cowboys with less time. That pass to Witten never would have happened if Brunell had used up that extra time.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Also if people think Brunell played a great game, that means our standards for quarterback play is really low. We should expect better from a veteran. One other point to get the ball down field over 30 yards the skins had to have Randel el throw the damn ball because Brunell can throw it that far.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
No hate here on Brunell just giving the facts. Sometime the truth hurts. He completed what like 6 passes to his WR. Other teams miss their best Wr and still do well. We will be seeing on this sunday Mcnabb has miss Stallworth for most of the season and still hit his Wr more than 6 times a game. The skins score 20 on offense not 22. 2 came on a safety.

I can't argue with you, sometimes the truth does hurt. If you want to compare Brunell with Mcnabb, then go right ahead. Totally different teams, totally different scenarios. By no means do I think Brunell is a glorious defender of the elite, supreme in all of his duties, crusher of the weak, etc... He is however, the best chance one game at a time. For each game that we win, each game that we advance... Brunell is the best chance. Period. There is not an option to start thinking "long term" untill we're eliminated from contention, and I don't disagree with that philosophy at all. What if we just "gave up" last year at 5-6... Let's be real, understand the situation, and stop all the bitching. His stats aren't bad (but I don't mean to use them as leverage, interpret them as you wish), he makes plays when we need them, and he's our best chance to win.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Yes im the same guy who been telling it like it is since april when i said this team is not built to win a championship. The way little Danny runs this team will never will a Super Bowl and that pains me to say that. How many times are we going to blow off the draft and just keep trying to do things by the FA route. Trading away picks like it doesnt matter espcially on Duckett, a third rounder cant get him on the field on short yardage, what a waste of a pick on someone who wont be here next year. Look hoe Dallas has rebuilt their Dline and LB threw the draft, unfortually they will get better. Ours wont unless we overspend in April like we always do for help. HMM let see Dallas bench Bleadsoe for Romo boy that looks like a bad move huh. Romo was a FA how many picks did that cost the cowboys or signing bonues??? We over spent on Campbell when he was projected as a 2 rounder at best or a late 3 rounder but no we had to give up 2 number ones and a second round pick too. How about this year trading a extra second for Rocky when he cant even get on the field unless it special teams. Giving up a third and a fourth rounders for LLoyd when the Eagels get stallworht for a 5 rounder i think and a LB. I could go on and on but you just keep drinking the koolaid and never question the moves this team makes. The so call front office is a joke{VINNY<GIBBS>LITTLE DANNY} We need a real football man to run this team not some fantasy football wantabe. Boy i love giving every dame FA this 10 million sure makes since to me how AA doing bench already, no surprise here he couldnt cover me lol. Carter he another damn waste. Lloyd ok but not worth 10 million signing bonus, niether is Randle el. I know it bothers you im right about all this. I can see the tone in your writing, that someone is actually questioning the crappy moves this team is making because your just a yes man for the skins. I love the skins but im tired of being the joke of the NFL. I wish I was wrong about these facts but you know and i know in our hearts we will never win unless Little Danny learns to let a real football run this team.

I don't know if your referring to me, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by being a "yes" man for the skins. In my previous posts I'm talking about coaching philosophy. You play your players that give you the best chance to win each game, one game at a time, especially at this point in the season. That's how you have to play it. It has nothing to do with our past offseason woes, its right here, right now.

If you get a thrill calling me and others yes men go right ahead, I don't care. All I know is we've made some very good moves. We don't know what's going to happen with Duckett so we can't say "oh well he's gone anyway" Just because Campbell and Rocky aren't starting right now doesn't mean long term they're going to fail. I would say I didn't want Rocky in the first place. I didn't think we needed another linebacker with that pick. I would have gone with a DT. Campbell looks like he's going to be great but we gave up probably one too many picks for him. I didn't like the Archuleta signing from the get go (though I didn't think he'd be this bad) and I wasn't happy that they let Omar Stoutmire go. Thing is since you and others love to bash every single move and ignore the good ones. I choose to just ignore the bad one and focus on the good ones. If you're going to go 100% one way I'll go 100% the other way. But like I said, if you want to think I'm just a yes man go right ahead. And if you don't think we'll ever win anyway why should you even care about the team?

Re: Give Props to Brunell
No im not talking about you. I'm with you on taking it on one game at a time. Play to win now that fine but another loss or two, we have to find out if Campbell can play. We better pray that he can or were done for. Listen my hearts says were going win 7 of the last eight, because that what i want. But my head telling me its not going to happen and im piss at how this team is built like crap every year.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
The thing about Brunell believe it or not i want him to succeed. But he has to be smarter with the ball not just throwing it up for grab like he did on sunday or against the titan when we had a minute to go. Against dallas on the goal line when we were in FG range throwing the interception to williams. Against TB in the playoffs when we're running out the clock and he throw the interception across his body and across the field. As a vet i expect him to be smarter than the way he plays sometime. Cant he run for a first down once in a while instead of throwing ball away or maybe step up in the pocket like NFL QB does instead of backing up and throwing or rolling into a sack that all.,

Re: Give Props to Brunell
I care because they are my team. I want to win. This team is not built to win. Campbell going to be great where the proof of that. I hope your right about him but i have my doubts. It might seem to you i bash every move they make is becasue they make so many stupid moves that it kills any good moves we make. Two step forward and three steps back.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
We come together 'cause opposites attract! Sigh...paula!
Seriously though. I'd find it hard to care about something that's inevitably going to fail. Which is what I think is what you think. Unless I'm mistaken. From what I've seen of Campbell in college and in the preseason games I just really like the fact that each time I see him getting better. I think he picks up on his mistakes and works on them. A lot of guys plateau early, I think JC has a huge growth curve.
