I walked over to my closet, and as I held the jersey in my hand and read the name "Taylor" on the back, I dropped to one knee. I was literally sobbing. I can't believe my favorite player is gone. I just can't believe it. I'm still hoping this is just a sick nightmare and I wake up soon. I'm am so, so, so sad. I don't think I've cried this much in one day since 9/11.
I was thinking about how we're paying tribute to Sean on the last day of this month, right after the 1 year anniversary of his death. Then I went on youtube and watched some of his videos. Not to bring up bad memories, but the thoughts and prayers and support we had for each other that day was pretty awesome. The way fans of other teams made a point to offer their support was pretty cool too. I re-visited this thread for the first time since about a week after he passed away and read every last post.

We miss you Sean. As much today as yesterday and everyday since.

I'll always remember the first defensive play we ran against the Bill's the following game. Only 10 players on the field, but Sean was on the field in spirit. Most memorable play I'll ever experience as a fan of the game.

RIP SEAN TAYLOR #21, YOU MEANT SO MUCH TO SO MANY, IT'S A SHAME SUCH A GOOD SOUL WAS TAKEN AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE.

I am devasted!

I am a Redskins fan from France.
I am so sad for his wife and his young daughter but I would like them to know that even in France, a country where the Redskins are not well known, a country where even the NFL's name is not well known, there are some people who really, deeply admire the man called Sean Taylor.

Go Skins!

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

My condolences and prayers go out to Sean Taylor and his family.

Sean Taylor was one of my favorite safties in the NFL. He had a great career at Miami and I knew he was going to be good...only 24. Shame to see such a great athlete and player leave the field. He had many hall of fame years ahead of him.

To all the Redskins fans, I hope you guys are able to recoup and heal after this tragic loss. Hopefully Landry can lead your defense in the future, but no one will fill the shoes of Sean Taylor. He was such an amazing athlete and saftey. On his way to another Pro Bowl year.

Prayers to Sean Taylor's wife and child. Let them recover and heal and God guide them through a successful mental and physical healing. I wish the best for their future.

R.I.P
Sean Taylor
1983-2007

Sincerely,
Denver Broncos Fan

Does anyone know if Ryan Clark has made any comments? They were best friends right?

Re: Sean Taylor has died...

What a day. My dad called me bright and early this morning to give me the news. I'm still in shock. ST was much more than just another football player. He will be missed both on the field and off. RIP Sean and thanks for the memories.

I haven't heard anything. I know his season is over, he had to have his spleen removed. Perhaps he is still in th hospital and the media haven't contacted him.

The H-Back is an obscure little known position in the NFL. It is a hybrid position combining the skills of a fullback, tight end, receiver, and offensive lineman in one position.

"Cooley has adapted to the position like a fish to water."
