yeahhhh righttttt, Eli has started 72 games straight.Oh all of Alberts seasons how many times has he played a whole 16(straight) games, and the quote "he is the best at his position" ...well maybe he was the best avaliable at the time ,I agree with that.
1. Kevin Williams - Minnesota Vikings

94 games started, 42.5 sacks, 4 INTs, 5 forced fumbles, 4 TDs, 223 tackles, *4-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro

Kevin Williams is without question the very best defensive tackle in the entire NFL.
....and has only mised 2 games in his whole career.

Kevin Williams has a decent claim at best DT in the league, but given that from 2005-2007 that he was the second best DT on his own team, I'm inclined to believe that Haynesworth is the more dominant of the two.

I think Kevin passed Pat last year as best 'Williams' on the Vikings, but I think most would agree that Haynesworth is more dominant, if a little less durable.

Thank you. Having Giants fans on a Redskins board is funny enough. Having Giants fans with such limited football knowledge is even funnier.

We should not forget that Eli's contract is a long one and wages go up every year. By the end of the deal Eli likely will not be close to being the best-paid qb because other contracts will have surpassed his by then.

So you think this is the only place that other teams fans come and exchange opinions and express thoughts? So there are no Skins fans on any Giant boards...or Eagle or Cowboys?

Did I say that? You're free to do whatever you want, and I have no issue with you whatsoever. You contribute around here, and I'm totally cool with that.

For me personally though, I wouldn't ever join a Giants/Eagles/Cowboys board and spend my time struggling to convince opposing fans that my team's players are good. It just seems like a frustrating exercise in futility, IMO. But to each his own.

Well, I was always told..."exercise" is good for me.

Care to revise your statement, sir?

Eli deserves the extension and money. Congrats to him.

Thought I'd re-visit this thread. Although he is not out-performing Eli, Snyder probably will give him a bigger contract because Snyder is really smart and needs to hold onto his assets.

That anyone who pays any attention to the game of football still has doubts about Eli Manning is beyond mystifying. And that includes Giants fans.
