Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Good question. Really good question.
I don't know how to make it happen but I want Charles Brown (LT), Bryan Bulaga (RT) and Jonathan Dwyer (RB). Somehow I'm not sure we are going to get all three. I think Jahvid Best and CJ Spiller are both very exciting prospects, but I like Dwyer better than both of them at the next level. And he's actually the one player I most want in this draft. So maybe Okung in the first, Dwyer in the 2nd? If he lasts that long

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
I could see Dwyer falling to the 2nd. I guess it depends on the needs that the Skins fill in FA. Many holes along the Oline need to be addressed when FA starts.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Switching to the 3-4 creates needs on the defensive side of the ball, id love to see us land McClain to be the young leader of the defense but i know OT will be the priority heading into the draft.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Suddenly my note last month about McLain possibly being a sleeper pick at #4 for the Skins doesn't seem as crazy...still I think it's unlikely they will take him so high

Switching to 3-4 will create a lot more needs than we already have. Stick with the 4-3 base, but switch to 3-4 on occasion to throw off our opponents. Give them more to prepare for. Then draft lineman. Not much to ask. |

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Unlikely, dang it why does our Oline have to suck so bad
![]() Couldve had Jr Ray Lewis -without the questionable past-

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
I still dont want to see us draft Oline all the way. Id like to think they sign some in FA.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Knowing Shanny it could go
Bradford Best OT available or Okung QB prospect RB in the 4th.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
I have a feeling your 2nd scenario is the more likely one

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Please explain Mrs. (Allison) Dubois
No seriously though, I thought Bradford was the more likely guy to go to us at #4. Colt McCoy right now seems like the only guy that would be worth taking with the 5th pick in the 2nd round. Tony Pike doesn't seem like a Shanahan QB. Dan LeFevour on the other hand seems like he would fit here.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Rabach is actually one of the guys I'm interested to see in this system.

I'm sure that Shanahan's offensive philosophy will change the way that some business is done up front, but the sweeping changes in the running game happened between 2007 and 2008.
