What I got out of watching these games is how far out of it the Redskins are. The gulf between these team and the Skins is huge.

Yeah I'd say typically there's a gap between 4-12 teams and playoff teams.

There is a gap but the ones for the Skins, especially on O, are so huge as to be mind boggling. At every position on O the Skins come up waaaay short in talent. Its hard to believe the Skins can be this far behind.

I also agree that overall this was a pretty boring wildcard weekend.

Packer fans have got to be pretty hot today over the non-call on that facemask at the end.

The Packers got jipped on a ton of calls in that game, that facemask being the icing.

Well there were a lot of false start non-calls during the Packers' last drive, so in all it there were a lot of terrible non-calls.

That being said, after seeing the replay I don't think there was a facemask, but it could have easily been a hands to the head call. Still, 'Zona made a good defensive play.

I could not agree more.
It was a good no call. The ball came out of QB's hands before the accidental face mask. Plus the DB did not pull or use the hands to the face mask to his advantage in any way. I'm not even sure he knew his hands were on the face mask.
Packers need to let it go.

There was only one good game all weekend. That had to be the most boring Wildcard Weekend in years.

I think I watched about one quarter worth of football all weekend. I even gave up on the Cards/Packers when it got to 24-7, just happened to switch by later on when it was 38-38 and watched the rest from there.

My brother and I were talking about the athleticism involved, especially in the Packers/AZ game. Those receivers had incredible control over their bodies to keep in bounds, or get turned around to the ball. I know that is players making plays, and I can't remember the last time we saw ONE play in a game from our receivers, let alone on each and every drive in the game.

I couldnt agree more. The WRs and the QB positions were where IMO, the void is the biggest. There is no way the Skins QB or WRs make one of those plays let alone play after play.

I'm agreement with you two. Play after play I marvelled at the skill level and athleticism. But not only that, but the discipline and focus of those guys. Even on defense, the Cards couldn't stop the Pack to save their lives but they came up with the big plays when they needed it.

That's why we need to continue developing Kelly.

Re: Wild Card Weekend Game Day Thread(s)

Our offense has sucked for so long it's not even funny. Our drafting, or lack thereof, of offensive linemen the last 10 years is downright inexcuseable. One is directly related to the other IMO. I've never really been a big fan of Shanahan but I bet he gets this s**t fixed.
