I think the kid has some skills but I'm not a fan of the feather helmet. From the side it looks too much like the Browns helmet.... bland. Maybe if there was a way to put something on the side as well... Maybe a calligraphy "W" or a calligraphy "WR".

Personally I liked the Arrow helmet and the scripted "R" helmet shown above. I might try switching up the colors on tue helmet and use Burgundy for the base color and a more Metal flake Gold scripted "R" with the gold and white uni's above.

After 40 years of the same helmet logo I'm ready for a change. No different the owning the same car after 40 years. We can always come back to the current Indian head after a couple of years.

All right you got me. I see what your getting at and your right... cars now a days don't last 40 yrs. But one would think anyone with half a brain could figure out what I meant. The 40 yrs was in reference to how long the team has had the current logo and quite possibly longer. But I'm sure the lot of you have gotten a different car within the last 10 or 15 years or sooner. How would you feel if people told you that you were crazy to want a newer car because the old one you had is what people associate you with and that you should keep that same old beat up clunker?

Anyways, your headdress idea has been done and it looks like utter crap. So would ANY Redskins design with black in it.

Even if the Redskins did decide to implement black as a trim color, this would never work because you are using black as a primary color, and this is not the case for the Redskins color scheme. Their primary color is burgundy and then it's gold. I absolutely hated the unis when Lombardi was here, because he tried to make the Redskins look too much like the Green Bay Packers.

Well it's also how it's presented. I actually like the red helmet with the two feathers, but I'd prefer to see it in burgundy instead of red. My first take on it though was it looked like the Chiefs logo.... an arrow made out of feathers.

I don't like the Silver helmet and simply putting 3 feathers on each side and calling it a head dress is not what I was talking about. I said make the face mask burgundy, put a gold band around the face mask from ear to ear like the real head dresses have, then have a whole lot of feathers (white) in gold trim flowing back to the back of the helmet. When looking at the back of the helmet have it look like a real head dress.

How about someone designing a helmet where the helmet looks like the chiefs head dress so while the players are wearing the helmet they actually look like they are wearing the head dress on their heads. Instead of one feather going down the middle.

I think that's what this helmet is supposed to simulate. I see what you're saying though.

I don't like the blank sides of the helmet. I also think we should move away from the indian theme. One idea would be a that a updated "R" can be used as it would keep continuity and tradition. I would also like to see more black and less burgundy. Especially on our helmet.

^ Wow, I never looked at it that way. For some reason it looked like an upside down feather on the helmet. But I'm referring to a full head dress. Perhaps a burgundy helmet with a gold band at the face guard. Then white feathers flowing backward to gold tipped feathers. The reverse could be cool also... Burgundy along the face mask, feathers white feathers flowing backwards in gold trim to burgundy tips to simulate the opponants blood.

Regardless what Jim Zorn may have thought, black isn't in our team colors. I would rather update the design of the jerseys (such as what Summo had on here) but keep the Indian head or go with the spear and feather helmets. Keep some tradition. I'm also not a fan of white jerseys on gold pants. I like the burgundy jerseys on gold, but if they were white tops, I'd stick with the burgundy pants.
