I still can't believe I'm witnessing Rex Grossman as the starter of the Washington Redskins. This is the worst Christmas Ever.

I love how everyone is wanting to crucify Snyder, but ACT just like him.

Firing a coach after his first season... Rediculous.

The Bucs went 3-13 or something like that last year right? When the new coach came in there and cut half the roster that year and alot of the known vets on defense they had. ESPN was all over them for doing that ALL year long.

Now where are they?

Why don't you give it some time guys.. We are 2/2 in the redzone today. Whens the last time we've been there?

I've said it many times. Our fans are stupid, and that's fine. Sports makes fans dumb, it's inevitable. Fortunately, our stupidity is inconsequential as we don't have the power to do anything. Snyder's problem is he grew up a fan like all of us but now he must ALWAYS, not just sometimes put aside his fandom and not act the way our dumb fans do.

SS, then what do you think about sports analysts who say things like:

- The Redskins made a mistake by switching to the 3-4
- Getting McNabb was not a good idea
- The whole Haynesworth saga was dragged out by MS
- What are they thinking by benching McNabb
- This team is not good at anything and are headed in the wrong direction

I try to be positive about the team, but then I hear people like Matt Williamson (who I think is a pretty good analyst) say that this team is going in the wrong direction and that they are terrible, it's hard to keep any positivity.

You're right, fans are stupid, and we all say our share of stupid things. But it's just pretty damn hard to be positive about the team and agree with what the coach is doing.

I definitely don't think Shanny should be fired after one year but from a fans point of view the skins haven't improved in any aspect of the game since last year.

So guys in a new offense and defense should be better than they were last year in a D and O they had experience with? Or would you agree with me when I say it takes time to improve?

Special teams may be better this year.

You can argue that we're lacking in talent, but saying the the learning curve for a system is this steep is absolutely not true. It's football, not calculus. Shanahan's not waiting on McNabb to learn his system, so why are you?

Shanahan has not set up this team for the future, and personally I don't think he is that type of coach. The team is not good at anything, and he has created even more personnel needs. Also, his pissing matches with McNabb and Haynesworth have not help this team.
