Advantages?...Cousins/Rex may be done after this year,...trade/cut.
If we had Young...he'd be a good long term backup with the ability to run to match our scheme. Not sure this is an actual good idea..but it is fun to stir the pot.
As long as your not talking about Vince Young then fine.

That's funny and true.

Yes to both. Pashos didn't fill a needed hole so OL is necessary. I'm upset we lost Crawford and attempting to PS Minnifield

I think all of us at redskin nation would laugh hard and fist pump in celebration if that happened.

Chico you are on the ball today. Murphy was a big surprise. Gumbs must have shown more behind the scenes but Gomes is not a big risk to roll the dice.

Think TJackson has any chance to return with any usable value? I'm leaning toward no but secondary choices are leaving me confused. Does Winfield offer any safety help??????

Well, NFL Network just said it as part of their hourly update, along with VY and Tebow news. Is that better?

And are you really using a JLC report to question an official list. I thought we all know JLC is not really that reliable at all.

Eight players remain, with six spots available - Richmond Times-Dispatch

Has a point, Murphy was kept as the cut player if we sign a free agent. Thats probably why we are risking Chase to PS. I still dont like it.

I think that scenario is likely. I don't see how Murphy could have really made the team over Minnifield. Of the other players on that list, I think Briscoe, Burdette(as much as I like this guy), and Murphy will be cut. Hopefully, we sign Winfield.

Re: Redskins Cuts

Chase didn't set the world on fire in the preseason games. My clearest memories of his play are of him getting beaten and flagged for pass interference.

Depth is the theme of our team now. Solid squad.

Re: Redskins Cuts

If that is true, I have to beleive they cut Rex, or maybe they will shock us all and trade Kirk for a first rounder.

Re: Redskins Cuts

Keeping four QBs to me would be a joke...Even with the starter and the backup on the mend...makes no sense. Unless Kirk's injury is more than they are letting on.

Better be a first rounder next year and a quality starter this year... otherwise, not thanks.

A good point about PW is that he is a left handed mobile qb. Sounds like someone we are playing on a Monday in September.

I think you may have solved this mystery.

Good thinking...I had never considered that. He could simulate Vick in practice.

Other possible explanations:

*We're keeping him to bolster trade value. A player who makes a team may hold more perceived value than one who was cut.

*Would we actually use him in the backfield or at receiver alongside RGIII?

*Kirk's injury is actually serious enough to prevent him from playing early in the season. We keep White rostered AND active on gamedays in case Griffin needs to come out. We keep Grossman inactive like last season. If White needs to step in for a play or two or God forbid the rest of a game, we won't have to switch offensive scheme mid-game...just hands. When Kirk is 100%, he's gone.

*We're planning on trading Kirk sooner than later and we want a backup who can run the read-option. As mentioned, White becomes the in-game replacement and Grossman would be the "next-week" substitute.

*We're holding him for the sole reason of keeping Philly from using him in practice since he knows our offense. We cut him Tuesday morning.
