Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

Thanks. The radio crew went on about it for a minute or two, but they are obviously biased so I wasn't sure

Rg3 sacrificed for the team his knee. Fans scoff at that. I don't get it.

your right. i shouldnt scoff at that. I love RG3. my defense of the shannys shouldnt diminish what RG3 did for us and will do for us in the future. but i did do that here and your right, that isnt right. credit goes to both of them equally imo for 2012.

edit - joe just saw your reply, i changed his post from RG3 to shannys so, in that particular instance, i did do some implied scoffing. im a scoffer.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

Please tell me who is "scoffing" at RGIII blowing out his knee while trying to win. Is it just some amorphous "they" who are doing this scoffing? Are you asserting someone on this board is "scoffing"? Do you know what "to scoff" means?

Oh wait ... it's you G84C - facts, definitions and rationality don't apply. Sorry. Move along everyone.

They should. Problem is that "fans scoff at RG-3 sacrificing his knee for the team", aint rational.
If you want to say that fans scoff at Shanny for leaving him in the game than have at it. Though Im not sure why we would possibly be going there two years later. If any "fan" ever scoffed at RG-3 for doing so than they are not a fan...they are an idiot.

every single time i drive on BW parkway i see a bumper sticker or license plate holder that says "why yes, i am a rocket scientist" but the kicker is it is always on an old beat up truck or saturn.

you would think rocket scientists could afford a decent car. but then again, maybe they are so smart that they realize that spending money on material things like a luxury car is just for vanity purposes and doesnt actually bring about an increase in the quality of their life.

but then that begs a follow up question of surely they must know a higher end vehicle will have higher safety features and crash worthiness ... but the counter to that is that we are talking about "rocket scientists" so maybe danger is their game in the first place.

the things that go through one's mind as they sit in rush hour traffic ... to conclude, rocket scientist are only smart in the limited field of rocket science and physical engineering but not more worldly things like picking up chicks, playing sports, knowing how to defuse a bar room brawl and what kind of vehicle they should drive to satisfy the people around them and not have them question their subjective opinion on the validity of social -economic elements as it applies to the proportionate level of one's profession to what kind of vehicle they should drive.

youd think a rocket scientist could at least drive a damn lexus or something though.
