Re: RG3 and Gruden?

Nick Saban 2.0

Jim Harbaugh

Ron Rivera

Rex Ryan

Gregg Williams

Urban Myer

The return of Norv Turner.

Those would be my choices for a new HC lol

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

Pete Caroll 2.0 has worked out well...Im thinking Nick Saban 2.0 might have what it takes

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

Colt's demeanor overall these past few months vs. RG3's has been quite different. Also, Gruden did say he was going to make a better effort at least to single people out. And the expectation, whether he likes it or not, is just higher for RG3

As for Fassel. Man, wouldn't that be something. Third time's the charm? Not a name I've heard

I don't see Billick being a HC again

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

Josh McDaniel will be available for HC and GM. We could bring him in to get a qb and win the division. He has a track record.

RGIII would be his Tebow, no need to give up the farm for a QB. I would be ok with McDaniel, may be better on his second chance, smart offensive mind.

If McDaniel had RGIII they might have actually gone further in the playoffs that year...the difference between Tebow and Robert is Robert not only can extend the play but he doesn't throw the ball like a baseball.

You mean the same Josh McDaniel that was given the keys to the Ferrari in Denver and proceeded to crash it into a tree?

He was so bad the Patriots snatched him back up in a hurry.

At the beginning of the year the media was questioning whether or not this was the end for Brady and what a mess their O line was.

McDaniel had a hand in turning it around and getting some guys that are far from top tier into playing like a solid unit on their O line.

I concede, it's always good to have a hall of famer taking the snaps.

I think I did add one too many acronyms in my post. It is much better with "GM" left out.

Well I'm sure he's a good coordinator, but he sucked as a HC.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

In my opinion it doesn't matter what head coach we bring in if Bruce Allen and his scouting department is still in place. Whoever would come would be destined to fail.

If you ask me, they should either give Gruden one more year to try to get some of his guys on the roster and a new Defensive Coordinator or simply start fresh by firing Allen, all of the coaches, and the scouting department.

Gruden is going to get another year, and there will likely be many FO changes

If there are going to be many FO changes, wouldn't now be a good time to start making them? The new folks need to be in place ASAP to get ready for FA and the draft.

The season is lost so the Redskins wouldn't be upsetting the apple cart by starting now.

Of course, I could be wrong about the timing because the NFL has more rules than the Federal Government.

I know I'm a couple of days late on this but is it possible to elaborate? Many meaning significant, i.e. new people making football decisions? Not Allen stepping back and AJ Smith making all of the football moves. Although that would be an improvement, I'm not sure it's enough. I'd personally like to replace pretty much the entire scouting department.

While I think that Gruden has done a terrible job this year and may not deserve another one, the talent is not good. We've ignored the secondary and both lines for far too long. I'm not sure anyone would have done a decent (10 win) job with this roster.

Gruden completely botched the QB position and I don't trust him to properly evaluate talent. No way should we be starting Lavaou, Chester, Polumbus (to start the season) or giving as much playing time to Paul and Paulson. His staff is just as bad. Forester hasn't developed anyone. Haslett & Morris are jokes.

A complete reset would be ok with me but for now, I'd just be happy with competent football people in charge.
