I think he's a dynamite D-coordinator but a 4-3 guy. Were we really angling for him or is that just smoke?

Of the guys we've interviewed/will:
(1) Ed Donatell
(2) Wade Phillips
(3) Eric Mangini

Would love Schwartzie but don't know that he's available

Well, now that Rex is going to Buffalo, I wonder if he may be reconsidered. Schwartz is another one of those I wouldn't mind coming here.

Lots of good candidates:

- Wade Phillips
- Mangini
- Ken Norton, Jr.
- Schwartz
- Donatell

While I prefer Phillips for many reasons, I think I would be good with pretty much anyone on the list.

Re: New Defensive Coordinator 2015

Of the list I prefer Schwartz. Love how his defenses look. Really just prefer the 4-3. Constantly having to convert DEs to LBs at the premier passrushing position makes me nervous

I would love to see McCloughan lure Greg Manusky from Indy, he was the DC for 3 years in SF.

For as much as you profess to hate th 49'ers, you sure love to promote there former players, coaches, personnel guys, janitors, etc.

Manusky was nothing special.

Oh really? Been a fan of Manusky back to his playing ST for the skins, he was assistant coach back in 2001 in DC. You must hate McCloughan cause he's a West Coast guy and Andrew Lucks too. Right?

Todd Bowles, Russ Grimm, and Greg Manusky would be the dream for you wouldn't it?

Bah. Too bad. Thought the different defensive philosophies may work out in our favor.
