I think Kaep is behind Griffin in development but that offense last year was terrible, the play calling was amateurish. Kaep has a lot of Cam to his game. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Kaep plays well in a scheme run by Kubiac. Heck, I bet Kubes would get notes from Mike S 2012 offense.

He doesn't have RG3's injury history but he was hurt this year, had shoulder surgery back in November.

Yes I agree.
But the 49ers are a team that were recently a SB contender and now are terrible. So they are just as desperate as Denver at this point. The negotiations between the two must be really interesting. I imagine the 49ers are asking for a king's ransom.
I wonder if they can not agree at this point on a trade, that during the draft they might find a more mutually beneficial agreement.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
Griffen is a Free Agent and if they can get him for a cheap deal, he could be there back up and groom for the future QB. Especially since RGIII seems to need more time to develop.

Guys are going to be more apt to come out and defend a current/former teammate than to pile it on. Not saying the few players here are hiding their real feelings to come to Griffs defense just that you probably wont see guys echoing cooleys statements. Ya tend to keep the negative shit to yourself.

Edit : alot of these guys are saying shit like Griff handled his demotion well - not what Cooley was saying. Orakpo saying he would smack him could just mean not cool to do that not that he thinks Griff was an exceptional teammate. I dont know man , it is really all a non story but I am sure their is a big ole pile of truth in there somewhere and just because people dont like that Cooley said it doesn't make it a lie.

Edit : one more thing. Ricky Jean Francois was not really around for any of it. How the hell does he know what Robert and Kirks relationship was like since draft day???

Right who knows better, a teammate who last played in 2012 or a guy in the lockerroom right now.

Well than you can strike Orakpos comment from the record. Lol. Seriously though alot of Cooleys comments were centered around Draft day up until his benching, and he hasnt played but he does cover the team.

Its only 5 guys so that's far from a majority of the team. Anyway who cares, RG is in the rear-view mirror and will be someone else's problem soon.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team

Both Kubiak and the decision maker: Elway. Strongest possible ties to Mike Shanahan. You know they talked to Mike in the last few days, and you know how that conversation went.

RG3 has no prayer of becoming a Bronco.

Seriously though, it won't take much to see better QB play in Denver next year.

The QB play last year was about 'management', not reliance upon a QB arm/feet.

I was thinking Colt McCoy could be in play for them as a stop-gap. I'm glad he signed with us quickly.

The only thing Kaep and RGIII can manage is turning the ball over. They manage to do that on a consistent basis. Either one of them would set back Denver IMHO.

Your mention of Colt was spot on. That is the type of steady, mature QB they need with their strong defense. Fitzpatrick would probably be their best option right now.
