Washington (AFP) - In a break with tradition, the White House of President Donald Trump has removed the portraits of two recent presidents, Bill Clinton and George W Bush, from the building's entrance hall, CNN reported Friday.

The two paintings were moved from the Grand Foyer, where the portraits of recent presidents usually hang, to the Old Family Dining Room, which CNN described as "a small, rarely used room that is not seen by most visitors."

It said the room was mainly used to store tablecloths and furniture.

In place of pictures of Trump's recent predecessors, there now hang pictures of William McKinley, who was assassinated in 1901, and of Theodore Roosevelt, his vice president who succeeded him upon his death, sources told CNN

There are Assholes from all walks of life. The actions of one idiot should not hinder the advancement of black lives unless you are looking for a reason to hinder it in the first place. Same way if some asshole radical right wing nut job burns down a temple or commits a hate crime that should not hinder the advancement of say the conservative party just because the right is more conservative. Always always gotta avoid generalizations.

Punch I agree,my problem is that BLM's doesn't do enough to separate themselves from assholes like this and that taints their message. There are assholes like this on all sides of the argument .

The problem is trump has politized this entire thing for re election purposes. Read an article today how trump only started to take this seriously when he was told the spoke would be where “his people” live in the red states. The effects on the economy, mental health etc should all be taken into account in a weighing and balancing act ...


But fuck Trump. Anything he says is just if he sees it political beneficial to him. It is 100% fair to view his words and actions through that lens imo.

I agree with you! When / If they have to make the decision to shut down the country again, that is what they need to think about. I almost hate to say this on here, but one thing that i DO agree with Trump on, is that we can't let the "cure" become worse than the problem.

I really don't think anyone truly considered it the first time, because those governors in their lifetimes had never had to deal with anything like this. None of us did / have.

We also need to be coming up with a Plan B, in case these vaccines are not successful. Plan B is not / should not be shut down America for good and hide in our homes.
