This is exactly why this thread is, in the words of Schneed10, retarded. How stupid would it have been if after the Lions game I posted a thread that said "Give Joe a 5 Year Extension"? Just as stupid and knee-jerk as this one is.

Personally I'm tired of all the confusion on the sidelines. That's on Gibbs. I mean he called a TO just to kick a FG. WTF was that all about? It's just the same old shit.

Notice how this "retarded" thread has a 150 more posts than the other "smart" threads that came up after this game. Despite a third of the posts being personal attacks, much more interesting perspectives here than "$hit the refs fucked us" and "McCardell catch that wasn't ruled a catch."

So, you're saying retardation is much more interesting than being smart?

Re: Its time for joe to step down.

I can't believe people are still posting in this thread. It doesn't matter who drinking kool-aid or hater-aid, anyone with a brain knows that Gibbs isn't going anywhere. Do you know how many people would personally try to strangle Danny S. if he tried to get rid of Gibbs? And what kinda idea would people get if Gibbs just stepped down when the going got tough? People would think he's some old bag, who used to be good, and who's now all washed up. (Even though people think that now).

Gibbs isn't going anywhere. He's not retiring, he's not going to get fired. I don't see him leaving before the end of his contract right now. So, it's time to just buckle up and try to enjoy (or bear with) the ride.

Interesting perspectives? Sure, whatever floats your boat

You're missing the point, Dynamite--this is rant for rant's sake!

Come on! Rant! Oh, maybe you WERE ranting. My bad!

Umm, you're still posting on this thread....

I agree Gibbs isn't going anywhere. For now. But if this kind of crap keeps up, I don't see him staying after this year. If we continue to flounder and finish around 8-8 and miss the playoffs, you have to wonder. I'm getting tired of the same old excuses and same old coach speak. Back in year 2 of Gibbs V2.0, I was tolerant. We're going into week 11 of year 3. I want results. And we're not getting them. 3+ years is an eternity in the NFL. The Parcells experiment in Dallas only lasted 4 years, and he made the playoffs a few times.

He made the playoffs twice. One 6-10 record in 2004. Also left the team in great shape, much like he did the New England Patriots.

Parcells made it twice in four years. And never won a playoff game while in Dallas. Gibbs has made it once in 3 years, won a playoff game. And this year, contrary to popular belief, isn't over yet.

I understand Parcells never made it in 4 years. Kinda why I was bringing it up. And notice I said "if we continue to play like this," and "if we flounder and go 8-8." Never used the word "when." If we miss the playoffs this year I could see Gibbs stepping down. I have plenty of hope for this year, and I think we're capable of ripping off a few big wins down the stretch. I also see very little reason to be optimistic, and there are plenty of things to criticize.

Re: Its time for joe to step down.

I say gibbs and williams cuz we arent playing well on both sides of the ball, we are too inconsistent, too much talent to be playing like this.

Yeah I didn't mean to say you specifically have given up on this season. But plenty of people definitely have.

Nope. That was just a figment of your imagination.
