normally I like Peter King but he needs to stay behind the pen and away from the camera.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
My one take away from the video and other reports for that matter on Beck is that he is very much like JC when it comes to practice and learning the system very committed. Which like JC doesn't always translate to success on the field.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
When was JC ever called a "take-charge guy in the huddle"? JC was a "lead by example" boy--if he even did that-- through and through.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
It's when we start to draw distinctions here that the concept of leadership becomes an utterly useless intangible.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
You're assuming that I'm assuming that I care about how people are led. Well guest what, the scope of my statement focused solely on the "how" with no mention or innuendo that the "take-charge" guy is "better" than the "lead by example" boy.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Well, I'm not assuming your position, I am just saying that the distinction shouldn't be drawn. I'm probably agreeing with you.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
The longer we focus on John Beck's ability to lead men while ignoring his ability to play football, the better off our depth chart at the QB position will seem.
Because we have the market cornered on quality backups.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
So, JC's way of talking is not aesthetically pleasing to you, so hence you use displeasure as a way of proving he's "not a leader". How boneheaded is that? Not to mention, I don't think you played on the team in the first place.

Have you ever tried to whistle with a mouthguard? JC is the most naturally tranquilized field general I think that probably has ever taken a snap in an actual NFL game. |

JC makes three check down reads before taking a cat nap and only then is he ready to dump the ball off to the RB for a three yard loss on third and twelve. I choose the sexy option. |
