I highly doubt he's sitting him down cause he doesn't like him. I think it's a combination of things....like his below average play for most of the season. I do believe Mike wants him healthy going into the off season, and he wants to see Cousins. If he is going to sit RG3 then he needs to sit a few more guys as well.

He deserves to be benched. He has played like crap, acted like a spoiled baby and made a fool of his coach all year. His over blown head needs to be put in check. From what I have seen h is not a franchise QB. There are 32 starting QBs in the world, out of 7 billion people. What's more amazing is there are only ten good ones. I can tell you the ten good ones have never said the stupid things he has said. I lost all respect for him after his last press conference. Shanahan deserves better. Be honest what has Griffin done this year that makes you think he is a franchise QB. He has been the hands down disappointment in the NFL this year. We have been on national TV every week and he has been absolutely horrible. It is time for Cousins. Yes, b/c when I was 23, talented, rich and adored, I never faltered or made errors in judgment and always performed at a high-level ... especially when coming back from major injuries.
