I think 19, 1 + 9 = 10.

86,87,88. Reed, jackson, and garcon - hank turns into a legit wr and he can join the fun bunch too.

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson

... I also don't understand this reason against signing DeSean Jackson: the Redskins had bigger holes to fill.

First, there's not any current free agent of any worth that you could compare to the impact of Jackson for the Redskins, whether it was at free safety or not.

Second, at the time of Jackson's release - however the Redskins handled free agency up to that point doesn't preclude signing Jackson. What I mean by this is - just because we didn't sign Darius Byrd or anyone else who we lost out on - it doesn't mean that by default the Redskins lost (in free agency) and should give up on trying to make the team better.

Third, I would argue that signing Jackson, would allow for more opporturnity to fill the "bigger" holes through the draft because there should be no reason to look at drafting a wide receiver. I would consider in a way that this recoups our first round draft pick that was lost to the Rams (somewhat more expensive, but still).

All I keep thinking is Play-Action Pass, Deep.
Our read option should be improved as well with the extra speed.

We might be on the verge of something very exciting.

Couldnt agree more. This should allow us to really focus on oline and secondary help in the draft. Simply a wr was not really on my wishlist, because between Garcon, Reed, and Roberts I thought we could atleast be a good offense and we had other holes to fill (lol). However the dynamic of Jacksons game just makes this offense brutally tough to match up with. Who do you double team? Do you dare play off the line and allow Almo and RG-3 to run it down your throat? The only worry I have, and I think others have but dont want to admit - is - which RG-3 are we going to get? Was last years poor passing due to injury, gameplanning, etc or was it due to he is not a great passing qb? Sometimes last year it just seemed he was missing so bad. As always this season will hinge on the play of our qb. Personally I think that he will be electrifying through the air and on the ground. Or atleast I hope so. HTTR!

Someone mentioned earlier about Jordan Reed benefiting from this.
Picture Jackson and Garcon running fly routes with Reed coming across the middle and or underneath.....
Profit!

With the wr's we have now, plus a potentially stud pass catching TE, I believe the offense now becomes, or should become a pass first offense. Hate to rain on the parade today but the question now becomes, can Griffin run it? And can the line protect well enough for us to run that type of offense?

I think jackson was quoted as saying he wanted number 10, and maybe RG3 would switch his number to 3........I know I read that somewhere.......

Right or wrong, Chip Kelly probably thought Jackson became more expendable with the signing of Sproles. Remember, Sproles also lines up out wide.

lol, sproles and maclin combined don't equal half the talent of desean jackson. Its laughable if they think they will use sproles or maclin to make up for his ridiculous production. Look for the Eagles to drop in offensive rankings bigtime this year.

Hope you're right. I hate to admit it, but I think Sproles is a great player though.

Basically that is a list of draftees and free agents who didn't pan out, just like any team might have. No nuance to that thinking.
