Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News

I wonder if Haslett gets anything beyond a position coach ever again. Heck, he may done entirely.

I will be interested to see how Barry sets up the staff. Again, fair or not, hoping Raheem hits the road.

This defense is still going to struggle next year, regardless of who coaches it.

Yeah it probably was going to be bad even if Vic Fangio had come here.

Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News

Russell was just on the Drive on ESPN 980.

He said that a very important voice in the organization explained they felt Fangio's success was in large part due to the outstanding talent he had and that they felt Barry got more with less.

Does anyone know:
1. Who the "voice" is and

2. If this led to Barry being hired or if this is spin after Fangio turned us down?

According to Gruden, Vic was never offered the job

I'd guess the voice is McCloughan. There's no way they didn't consult with him on this hire.

Look at Fangio's D rankings prior to SF.

The only acceptable response for not hiring Wade is if Wade was not interested. I can't for the life of me understand it.

I don't think he was. I can't say for sure, but people I talk to within and close to the Redskins always left me with the impression that talks were never very serious re: Wade

Brandon Flowers is familiar with this D and is a FA, maybe he will follow Barry to Washington.

Wouldn't be the first time Reid and I heard different stuff. He also once said the Redskins planned on going hard after Julius Peppers.

Someone else said not true...and here we are

All seriousness though, Reid is one of the best out there and I'm just saying we've been told different things here
