Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I want to resign Kirk, however if they know for sure that a deal can't be had trade him and get two 1st rounders. Don't let him leave for nothing.

At the end of the day i still stick to my belief that Kirk Cousins is not a Redskin when the 2017 season begins. IMO, they have done enough to make that known even without coming out and saying it. Do i want him here? Hell yes, I think he's the best thing we've had here in 20 years. But do they want him here? Probably not. I know Gruden and all the others are doing their part in "coach speak" about Cousins, but like someone else said on here, saying they wanted him back was probably just a way to drive up his value so that someone trades away big to get him. I am happy to eat crow if at the end of the day Cousins is resigned to a multi-year contract here. And i say i deserve it if that happens.

I'm with you snake. From the tone of Cooley and Kevin it seems SM and or Dan is not in love with Kirk, and is willing to part with him for the right price. I'm 43 and a lifelong Skins fan, but if they trade Kirk that will be it for me. I refuse to continue to support an organization that gets it wrong every time. That let's there ego or their bottom line effect there decisions. I mean really, did Kirk find Scott's liquor stash and poor it down the sink?? Why can't they for once be happy with our own guy and not always be looking for the shiny new car i.e. (Brad Johnson, Trent Green, Antonio Pierce, Ryan Clark, on and on again..) When is enough finally going to be enough.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Are you aware that both Jay Gruden and Bruce Allen recently said they are certain that Kirk will be a Redskin next season? BA was asked to give a number on a scale of one to ten of the probability that Kirk would be back next season and he said "ten".

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
When the hell does that mean a god damn thing? Words are cheap. When we see Kirk smiling after signing a nice big contract then I will be happy. Until then anything said can be bunk that is said just to placate the fans and keep the competition guessing. You think they are going to let it slip out this early in the game if they are going to ditch him? Wait til the real negotiations start, then we will see if this is a bunch of hot air or not. Neither side is going to show its hand now. For all we know Kirk is going to intentionally highball his demands as to get the Skins to balk for all we know. Just let the chips fall where they will.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
One of our posters here said that may be really nothing more than "coach speak", intended to drive up Cousin's asking price in terms of the trade, enabling Washington to get more for him.

Or maybe it's the truth and we should trust the football guys to make good football decisions. I can't see SM or JG letting him go to start over basically searching for another Cousins. |

Let's compare our sources: My sources, the President of the Redskins and the Redskins Head Coach, say that it is a virtual certainty that Kirk will be with the team in 2017. Your source, one of our posters, says that what they said is just "coach speak". So you weigh the credibility of the sources and come to the conclusion that the Redskins might not re-sign Kirk, thus causing the sky to fall and forcing you to renounce your Redskins fandom forever. Nice job of seeing right through those lying bastards at Redskins Park.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
That INT wasn't on Cousins at all -- Jimmy Graham totally blew it. It should have been a catch if not a TD; it hit him in both hands, for crying out loud. Cousins probably felt that way as well when he ran down Talib (which was pretty badass, by the way -- probably the best play by a Redskin since Sean Taylor blew up Moorman). I don't blame Cousins for doing it, and I would imagine any football player with an ounce of pride would do the same. I love the guy. Sign him already.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Yeah as really just hope that he can find a way to stay with the team. If they let him go, it would really be a mistake if they did.
