One I wouldn't mind seeing and I am biased to my born on Beaufort MCAS is the Commandants. The Commandant is a uniquely DC institution and a nod to the military

A name I really like is the Raptors (the jet).
Washington Raptors I know another pro team has the name but it's a completely different thing/reference. Wouldn't even necessarily need a logo on the helmet, the helmet could be fashioned to look like a fighter pilot helmet.

The only way I can support Warriors is if they completely dump any reference to native americans and go full military, change colors to cammo or red and white (DC) and have a military honor section in the stadium and honor a vet every halftime. Have flyovers, bring in the marines marching band and go full on military. Discount tickets, the works. even host Army/navy game. I definately dont want Redtails, we are just swinging from one ethnic group to another, eventually someone will find out the guy who named them was a pedifile or something.

Name it after one of the local tribes that Inhabited the region.
I found a decent site that still had decent redskins hats to choose from .Got one before they disappear |

It's hard not to admire the Tuskegee Airmen and I like the notion of the name being a nod to them. A few years ago, I brought my son to a book fair where one of them was doing a signing. Meeting him was a great experience and I am glad my son was able to shake hands with a true hero.
But ... Red Tails just does not do it for me. |
