I don't think anyone has said we should trade Campbell. I just think a lot of us see this year as his do or die year. It's time to prove his worth.

Actually somone did suggest, maybe sarcastically, that we should dump JC or trade if he can't come through. I think he'll be fine.

I'm hoping that JC has a good year and shows he has what it takes to lead this team. If he cannot show that this yaer I feel the team has to look for a QB that can. I'm not saying he has to lead us to the SB but he has to show that he will be able to lead us there.

Some guy on extskins was talking about how at the end of the game his buddy bet him that Colt wouldn't make a TD before the end of the game, so he immediately bet him a $100 that Colt would make that TD. At the end of it, he collected $300 from people that bet against Colt. He then goes on to say he never would have made that bet if JC was in, and he’s a JC supporter. Why is that? ... makes you think.

I agree with all of you guys about JC. He simply has to take his game to the next level. I think if this team stays healthy, there's no reason we can't make it to the playoffs again this year. And do well.

But as I pointed out on the list of mediocre QB's from JC's class, the only one who is flat out above the rest of the crew is Cleveland's Derek Anderson. And one could argue that's because he's been in the same system with the same head coach throughout his career. There's something to be said about that. I mean, look at how Alex Smith has handled the ups and downs of a changing cast and system. He's looking more and more like a bust with each season, and might not even start this year. And Aaron Rodgers aint lighting up in Green Bay either. What a disaster that could turn out to be if he flops this year.

At least give Jason Campbell credit for adjusting to the constant changing winds at Redskin's Park.

JC is going to be a very good quarterback for us, but i just would like us to complete one deep route to a wideout.

The only time during the preseason that you can really take anything of value away from in regards to our starting QB is the third preseason game (our 4th because of the HOF game). That's when the 1's get to play at least a half of football, not one series here or there.

I'm happy that Brennan has looked good as opposed to bad this preseason, but all of the jock riding, man love is getting a little ridiculous.

Brennan is insurance if JC does not pan out in the next 2 seasons. 2 more seasons and JC should be up to snuff, if not he can probably be chalked up as a failed experiment. I doubt that will happen, but who knows. By week 7 we will know if he h as truly improved over last season.

I don't think that was the intention when they drafted him, though I guess w/any backup you can call them "insurance" as they might win the starting job. I think the hope was that Colt would be a reliable young backup in a couple years, which the team has needed for a long time. We've had some decent backups but none that are young & developing like he is.

The fact that he was taken in the 6th round shows that they're not investing a lot in the position & don't want to create camp competition for JC.

I think this game was a nice little reality check. We played flat for the most part and not finishing those drives is a concern. I'm hoping to see a bit more inspired play against the Panthers.

I really hate to beat this horse to death, but let's look at Jason Campbell's class.

1 Smith, Alex
2 Rodgers, Aaron
3 Campbell, Jason
4 Frye, Charlie
5 Walter, Andrew
6 Orton, Kyle
7 Greene, David
8 McPherson, Adrian
9 Orlovsky, Dan
10 Fitzpatrick, Ryan
11 Anderson, Derek

JC & Derek Anderson are definitely the top 2 in this class.

That's kind of my point. A few of those guys aren't even playing football any longer.
