Re: Training Camp Updates:

From Redskins.com Twitter...

Best play of practice: Jason Campbell lets one fly and Antwaan Randle El is wide open. He catches it for a long TD, earning applause.

Sweet...

Did he catch it in stride or did he have to wait on it?

ARE wide open, did the defender fall down or was it a blown coverage?

What happened is JC dropped back and started looking all around for an open WR. After about 10 seconds the man covering ARE falls to the ground and after ARE started jumping up and down while waving his arms JC finally spotted him. He throws the ball his way but its way over thrown so ARE chases it down and catches the ball in stride.

Minnesota Vikings to trade or release WR Aundrae Allison - TwinCities.com

I was reading this article and I think we should definitely take a look at this guy, who could compete for the #5 WR. If we signed him we could release Willams who isn't going to be ready until 4-6 wks and give us another available roster spot to sign a vet OL.

This kid has some serious return skills

I think he's already been waived

Re: Training Camp Updates:

Getting hurt is a blow to Mike Williams. He needs time on the field as much as anyone.

Good Twitter post by Rick Maese...

So what do they do with the open roster spot? I say, audition the biggest fan at tomorrow morning's practice for spot on the offensive line.

Re: Training Camp Updates:

Agreed on Allison. Not sure how much we like Trent Shelton and Marko Mitchell, but Aundrae Allison could return punts for us.

Allison was more of a kickoff returner. Don't know who was ahead of him, but he's only returned 9 punts and his average was 6.4, while ARE's is 6.5. I don't know how much of an upgrade it is. Maybe it makes Rock more expendable so Dorsey or Alridge could make the team and return punts.

Re: Training Camp Updates:

Its not time to panic Redskin fans. The coaches are just being carefull with our players to make sure we dont have any serious injuries. Our vets are just getting rest so some of the Rookies and younger guys can get some reps. This is a long season so no need to push our proven players who we all know will be starting this season. Lets hope we don't have any training camp or preseason, season injuires to our players. We can't afford to lose any of our starting O-Lineman to injury this year. But of course this is football so our backups have to be ready to step in and dont miss a beat.
