I know TCU is a good team but still not impressed with them.

They are legit...they can run, they can pass and they can defend. They aren't just winning they are demolishing. They are for sure the third best team.

You can say the same thing about Oregon but there they are, number one in the coaches poll. It's not TCU's faul their conference is "weak." What I do know though is they dominate all the "weak" teams including the then #5 team in the country.

Oregon played Stanford, Arizona, and the rest of the pac 10 TCU barely beat Oregon St and SDSU

TCU's defense is what is really impressive to me. they'd be the best matchup for either oregon or auburn imo. auburn-oregon will be a shootout.

Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***

TCU is legit. auburn barely beat a crappy clemson team in overtime. they barely beat miss state who is nothing special. oregon barely beat a crappy cal team because of a false start on a field goal. they barely beat a bad kentucky team. so im not buying that argument against TCU that they squeaked by a few teams. they are a very good team. all of the top teams just squeaked by against marginal teams. is TCU's SOS weaker than the SEC's? yes. but they are still legit imo.

Never said TCU wasn't legit. I'm saying they aren't top 3 IMO. Top 10 yes Top 3 no

I'm a bit surprised they parted with Randy Shannon already, but I guess he did have 4 or 5 years. I don't like the U one bit, but they are a storied program with enough of a name/history that they should be doing better than they have been recently. Especially in the weak ass ACC.

You know the rumor is Gruden is going to the Canes...and the rumor is also he's going to the Niners...my source close to Gruden says he's not going anywhere for another year at least...but people change their minds

How about TCU joining the Big East? Geography be damned!

they are gonna be a damn hard team to beat in the big east thats for sure, hopefully bill stewart will actually retire and wvu can get a legit ncaa coach and not a pop warner coach like they have had the past few years

so anyone besides me wanna draft cam newton?? he is just heads and shoulders above the rest. he knows when and how to turn "it" on, and he is damn good at it. and his accuracy towards the end of this year has gotten very impresive

They've tried to survive too long on their legacy. They don't put the resources into their program that are necessary to be a top tier program anymore. When they upgrade their facilities and find themselves a more established coach who can recruit their own state they'll be back.
