Lot of speculation that McKenzie will bring in someone from Green Bay. Philbin? Moss?...Favre? (I kid, I kid)

I wouldn't touch that organization with a 1,000 mile pole. They have no 1st rounders for the next two years, and basically no draft picks this year except for the compensatory pick for Gallery/NA. The team isn't getting any younger and is only going to go downhill with the lack of talent via the draft. Also, I think their salary cap is dreadful if I remember correctly. Forecast looks bleak.

They were ****ing stupid for the Palmer trade SMH, the skins always get clowned and rightfully so but we aren't as bad off as Oakland, don't be shocked to see DMAC, Seymour, Palmer, all gone

Jackson dealing 2 firsts for Palmer is probably what cost him his job.

Quote:
Jackson handled many personnel decisions in recent months after Davis' death. Jackson, who just completed his first season as head coach after being elevated from offensive coordinator, pulled off the highly debated October trade for quarterback Carson Palmer after starter Jason Campbell broke his collarbone.
He should be fired for that trade alone, regardless even if they did make the playoffs.

This is news to the rest of us.

Oakland could be a playoff team next year, or they could be in contention for the first pick. It will be interesting to see what they do with the contracts of veterans like Seymour, Palmer, Carlisle, Curry, John Henderson, Kevin Boss, etc. In a true rebuild, they would get rid of most or all those guys. If they keep Seymour, Palmer, and Curry, it's likely going to be in an effort to compete.

Raiders lost 4 of their last 5 games this year. I think that is why Jackson is out...

And this didn't help either

NFL.com news: Jets lose Schottenheimer, three others, plan to hire Sparano

Probably joining Daddy in TB? And a Sanchez rebirth with Sparano?
