If there's a player I would look at it in the later rounds but his stock will probably rise is:

Terrance Ganaway | Baylor, RB : 2012 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile

All I'm saying about Mike Shanahan getting fired is that he is no doubt aware that it is standard operating procedure for NFL owners to fire a coach who fails to deliver a winning season in his third year as coach. It is so predictable that it ought to be in the Owner's Handbook, if there is such a thing. Why should Dan Snyder behave any differently than the other owners?

If Shanahan, the HC, fails to deliver a winning season in 2012 because he was breaking in a rookie QB, then DS may decide that it is the GM who should be fired for not giving Shanahan enough talent to win in his third year. The problem for Shanahan is that he is also the de facto GM. So, there is no true GM to be sacrificed so that Shanahan can keep his job.

Sometimes, an owner will allow a HC to sacrifice a coordinator or two or some position coaches to buy another year. But it looks like Shanahan will clean house on coaches this offseason, so he won't be able to play that worn out card.

For me, then, it is logical that the solution Shanahan will seek for the QB position in 2012 is to go with a veteran acquisition other than Grossman and draft a promising rookie to develop. Those moves and enough wins in 2012 should allow Shanahan to keep his job which is ultimately what it is all about for him.

That's an easy question. Because he can't afford to behave like Dan Snyder. Not to mention the fact that Mike Shanahan told him from the very beginning that if Dan Snyder is not willing to allow him the time it takes to rebuild this team, then he wasn't interested in coming to Washington. That he signed a contract for five seasons, and that's how long it's going to take. So, Snyder fires Shanahan after season three, he goes back on his word, the Redskins are blown up again, and we stay on this merry-go-round. Snyder at this point realizes that he has a choice: to go through growing pains for five years verses going through continuous change for another ten years. At some point, you have to realize you trust the football minds around you and you do it their way.

I think i would prefer to continue to stockpile depth. If RGIII slides to 6, pick him up, and count your starts. But he wont, so look to trade out of the 6th, and then basically mimic last years draft. We need more shit to through at the wall. Picks Picks Picks.

You mean the NE method of drafting? They have so many picks every year, by sheer luck some of them are going to pan out.

I'm seeing a lot of mock drafts that have the Redskins picking Trent Richardson at #6. I understand he's a beast at RB, but I just don't get why the Redskins would use their top pick to draft yet another RB? I'm failing to see the logic in that!

I've seen some other mock drafts with the 'skins taking either Justin Blackmon or Alshon Jeffery. One that seems the most believable to me would the be the Redskins drafting DE Quinton Coples, although I think he comes from a 4-3 system from UNC.

Boy I hope we don't do that. We've got two young guys that have proven that they can get the job done. Besides some of the top teams with the best offenses...New Orleans, New England and Green Bay don't have a true stud at RB. They have great QB's and that's where the focus should be.

not going to happen, especially with the two young guys on our roster, and shannys tendency to turn gold out of complete shit in the draft, at least as far as later round RB prospects. Too many holes on this team to use our HIGHEST pick on a position where there is supposed young blood and strength already on the roster locked up. It will be used ON a quarterback, or in a deal to GET our quarterback. Sorry, but Mike Shanahan does not have 9 lives, and he needs to get the young guy in here and hitch his career to him. Time is running out for him to show promise at the QB position. He HAS to make a move.

We're not taking a RB at #6, that's just ridiculous

Just throwing this out there, but if I am the Redskins looking to get a true #1 WR in the 1st round of the draft I would take Alshon Jeffery WR- South Carolina. This kid is a bonafide #1 with as many plakmaking abilities as ANY WR in the draft. He is also a good kid without any baggage. Just my 2cents.

2-4 are very likely 1, RG3 less likely. Luck sadly isn't going to happen.
