Agreed. Given what he's done there, you don't fire a guy like that during the season.

I know they don't respect much in Philly but Andy Reid deserves it. He's put his heart and soul into that franchise even through his own personal tragedies. The man has earned the right to go out on his own terms.

Agreed. Let him step down and "retire" at the end of the season. He deserves that much. Firing him now wouldn't salvage the season for the Eagles anyway.

firing him now isn't going to get you more wins, and it's not going to help you get a new HC any faster either, unless you think there's a good HC in house and need to give him a trail run that's set for absolute failure.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style

Yeah. I would think Reid gets to finish on his own terms. Dan Graziano pointed out in one of his recent articles that Lurie allowed Kotite and Rhodes to play out the string and, if those guys got the right to do so, Reid has done much more to earn that right.

We all know (thanks to folks like Zorn, Cerrato and Spurrier) how crappy it is to be "playing out the string" waiting for the regime to end. There is no good answer - fire him now, fire him later, it will not make any difference. The Eagles are stuck with a sh** show for their last five games. May as well let the man walk away at the end of it.

and by the way ...

I am okay with the fact that the Eagles are stuck with a sh** show for the next five games.

I am also with Graziano in that I think they will miss Reid sooner rather than later and likely long for the day when 8-8 was unacceptable and not a goal.

You know, like us.

I was thinking the same thing. Be careful what you wish for Philly. It doesn't always work out the way you want.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style

On defense of Andy Reid, he has had a tragic year, his son died at the beginning of the season. I'm sure his mind is ****ed up due to that and is not firing on all cylinders, injuries piled up on the OL, etc. I would give him one last pass.

7 straight losses for the Eagles and they are without McCoy and DeSean Jackson now.

I'm loving this. They might finish 3-13.

I can't wait to play them again.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style

So what was the point of the Schaub family pic being posted here in the first place?

Not sure. I see nothing wrong with the picture but at the same time, no reason to post it.

Were there other players' families done?

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style

Update on the Giants' injuries in Week 12.

They lost Andre Brown with a broken leg, Kenny Phillips with an MCL and possible David Diehl with some minor injury.

They also just promoted Selvish Capers from their PS.
