Given Skip's track record, that means we are going 2-14.

Pretty sure he picked them last year as well (and in 2007)

I think he picked the Cowboys last year but then jumped on the RG3 bandwagon.

Like him or hate him, he was one of the first talking heads telling people to pay attention to RG3 at Baylor. He was saying he would take RG3 over Luck prior to the draft. Im not much for Skip Bayless, but give credit where credit is due. He has been on the RG3 bandwagon since prior to him arriving in the NFL.

Nice read. Really explains it well. With the the success the Redskins and several more teams are having with the zone-blocking scheme, you have to wonder if other teams will try to make the switch and perhaps make it harder for us to find good lineman and running back fits.

This article is a few days old already, so I'm sure you've all read it. For some reason, I'm beginning to really like Pat White(except for the lawsuit thing), and I hope he makes the roster. If he doesn't, I won't be sad, but I think he deserves a shot. He can take Banks' roster spot. I know, I know, it' unlikely.

One thing about Mike Shanahan is he never drafts a running back that high. I think the highest were Clinton Portis and Tatum Bell both of he drafted in the 2nd round. But in that zone blocking system Mike Shanahan knows which unheralded running back to inject in his system.

So very true. He needs to stay up right this year. I think he was pretty banged up in the SEA playoff game as well.

A healthy RG and PG = a lethal offense in WAS.

Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6

The big bodied CBs for Seattle had most of our guys flustered that day, and yes Pierre was one by the end of the second quarter if I remember correctly.

Hopefully at least 2 of the 3 guys we drafted this year can turn into that opposing force in the backfield for us.

The Redskins annouced their training camp practices and for those of you with more knowledge of this than me, please answer this question. What's the difference between a "Walkthrough" and a "Practice"?

A walkthrough typically means no pads and no contact. They just wear helmets and walk or lightly jog through the motions of the plays.

Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6

So its a choreographed verison of the classroom I guess. Learn a few plays then go out on the field and figure out exactly where this route makes its cuts what the timing is on this route. Probably benefits WR/TE more than anyone I guess. Not linemen so much.

I don't know about DL, but with a zone blocking scheme I would think the walkthru's would be helpful in establishing zone boundaries and responsibilities. I don't know that, just kinda thinking it.
