This would be a nice draft . I doubt ( FS ) Randall falls past rd 2 . We should have a good strong draft , picking early each rd and having a top GM !

The more I think about it, the less I think that we'll trade out of the #5 pick. That's because I think we're sure to get a "can't miss" player at #5. Right now, it looks like the top two QB's will go 1-2. That leaves Leonard Williams, Amari Cooper, and Fowler still there when we pick.

I don't see a trade down unless we get a blockbuster offer. At #5 there's definitely going to be a high quality player there.

And that is the thing, there is no player there that someone would offer a blockbuster trade for. Whomever we get at 5 is bound to make a strong ccontribution in their first year, whether it be Cooper, Fowler, Williams, White, Beasley, etc.

One guy's take on Beasley - Never heard of the writer or the cite, was just looking into Beasley as his name seems to be popping up a lot lately. This guy's take seem pretty fair minded:

I have a hunch that there will be two very different and opposing viewpoints on him: One camp will love his ability as a game-changing pass rusher while the other will suggest that he’s a maxed out college star who won’t translate to the NFL. If there’s any one player who will live and die by the post-season NFL Draft process this year, it has to be Beasley. Below are some of his highlights from the 2013 season.

Again, lots to like about Beasly, lots to be concerned about - did not realize he was only 235, thought he was in the 240's. Writer compares him to Bruce Irvin. Strikes me as player with potentially high ceiling but possibly maxing out as a 3rd down specialist.

As I have said, all the OLB guys strike me as risky. Fowler the least but, like Schneed said, he seems to be more of a Kerrigan player that lacks explosion. Gotta say, none of these OLB guys makes me feel particularly confident spending the 5th pick on them.

I have no problem with Beasly being 235 or 240. You could have Murphy in on run downs and bring in Beasly on pass downs. Pure explosive, speed pass rushers can change the game, get the defense off the field and cause sack/fumbles. We don't have a player like this, a Robert Quinn type of guy.

If they feel he's that kind of player then draft him. I'd much rather have that type of player than a big strong guy that isn't explosive. Seattle's defense has interchangeable players.
