Peppers isn't a true position player, people act like he's the next deion Sanders or something and he's probably not.

Also NFLN is reporting that the skins will target mike McCoy to replace mcvay

Yeah age is not a constraint. The shelf life of a head coach is either 4 years or if successful, pretty much until he wishes to retire. In football you should consider 3 years the horizon, can't even see past that.

Very true. And I wasn't sure if Dick LeBeau was still coaching or not. My thinking is a Wade Phillips hire is one that says you want to whip your defense into shape as quickly as possible, have it a top 5 defense within three years, and then hope that when you need a new DC, you will have become a contender (if not already won a Super Bowl), and handing the defense over to a less experienced DC wouldn't be as bad of a transition as where we're at right now.

Having said that, I'm all aboard for Phillips. Either Phillips, Bradley, or Pettine.

I'm not one to criticize what a professional does in his personal life. As long as he gets results he can take a platinum shower, for all I care, and I'll be okay with it. I just want my Skins to have a respectable defense again.
