While there is some appeal in that, I am not sure I can stomach Gloria Steinem and Jane Fonda leading a new campaign against us.

(I'm aware it has less than 0% chance of happening, but since we're throwing ideas out there...)

Wouldn't it be fun to have a super-non-badass animal as a team name ?

Like if we were the Washington Ferrets or Squirrels, every Sunday would be a win-win situation:

If we lose, at least you had fun yelling "Come on Ferrets! Let's goooo! Show a bit of pride and fight like a true ferret!" at your TV.
If we win, our opponents have to walk away and hear how they "got completely dominated by the Ferrets".

Agreed. Also, I imagine a howling sound while it's 3rd and long while we are on defense would be so obnoxious from opposing team and fans. Every 1st down there is a snarling wolf growl.

I'm favoring redwolves or wolves now. You could trot out some bad ass game of thrones type wolves as your logo / mascot.

Fanbase can be wolfpack with both wolves and redwolves IMO.

Yeah the wolf on the picture on the sleeve is not good. Red wolves are actually a type of wolf btw so it isn’t like we are trying to hold onto the red part. Love the snarl on first down.

It's going to be Warriors folks, Dan had that name in mind 10 years ago from what JP Finlay was saying.

Yeah but how much did he believe he would be at this point? I don’t think he has too much time, money, or thought invested in that name. Not that I am totally discounting it. I actually think it will be Warriors or Red Tails, but I think DS can go in a lot of directions just as easily as he can go Warriors.

With the limited time he has, It's gotta be Warriors IMO. I'm fine with the "red" options too but I Just don't know if they can come up with logo's and jerseys that quick

Im cool with Warriors. My wife teaches at a school and the name is the Washington Street Warriors. Their logo is the same as the Skins guy. She is not a big football fan, but pumped about them adopting her school’s nickname. Might buy me some extra football time on Sundays lol

I would prefer DS doesn’t rush this and get it right. If he is not sold on a name just drop it for the year, Washington FC, and properly vet a name.
