Tom Brady’s loss will be Joe Burrow’s gain: Bucs’ free-agent guard Alex Cappa intends to sign a four-year, $40 million deal with the Bengals after free agency opens, per league sources.

Watson to Cleveland has legs:

Could see this going down. Mayfield has to be pissed about even a visit. Clearly Cleveland is interested.

I think the scariest thing about Watson is say he gets off of these charges and your team drops a boat load on him but, he has some sort of addiction where he can't help himself and a year from now he is in a bunch more legal trouble again and he has lost the first offense flag and the benefit of the doubt benefits. He will get the book thrown at him.

I don't think teams will really consider that. They are looking at his overall talent and the fact that no legal charges are forthcoming. Agree it is a possibility for future trouble for him but doubt it really factors in to the teams that covet him.

@AdamSchefter
The Falcons have emerged as a sleeper team to acquire Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, league sources tell @mortreport and me. The Falcons join the Panthers, Saints and Browns as teams that have met with, or are interested in, trading for Watson. More to come on ESPN.

Falcons, another team that has a better QB to offer in a trade than Saints, Panthers, and Seattle.

Pass rusher Randy Gregory pulling a U-turn. He's agreeing to terms with the #Broncos, as
@VicLombardi
reported. #Cowboys deal fell apart.

LMAO!!!

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

Of course Dallas spending a boat load on a headcase who only managed 6 sacks last year may have been the better result in hindsight, knowing our luck they will go out and sign Von Miller or Chandler Jones now.

Posted on blogging the boys:

The Randy Gregory reversal to the #Broncos was 100-percent a matter of the #Cowboys tinkering with contract language at the last moment. Like it or not, you can’t come in with that maneuver when there’s another team on hold, just waiting for an opening.

Jerry tried to get cute at last moment

Agree. Guess they plan on giving Gibson all the carries next year. All of a sudden, we need help at rb. Really wanted to retain McKissic.
