Wow, what a difference some protection and strong running game make. Keep Campbell upright and he's got the arm to make every throw necessary. Great game by Campbell, especially considering all the doubters he heard. 24/36 for 321, man that's the pro style passing game we've been looking for since Spurrier hit town.

Re: JC is not what I thought.

This has been one of the most long running, dumbest thread of all time. The Redskins lost to the Super Bowl champions and Jason Campbell had a bad game. All of a sudden, he is not intelligent enough to quarterback a NFL team, he doesn't read defenses fast enough, he holds onto the ball too long, he will never be successful in the NFL. That is way too much overreacting after one game. After a fantastic performance today, I will very much be interested in the thoughts of all the Jason Campbell haters. There are some apologies that need to be made. You know who you are (hesscl34, mauiRedskinbarn, SOUL-SKINS, davy, pdid5000, Skinny Tee, irish, jgalecpa, JLee9718, ...)

I agree but the overreaction that happened last week was a lot worse that this week. The bring Colt in chants, JC could never be a solid NFL QB, JC is a sorry bitch. All types of things were thrown out last week I haven't heard too much outrageous talk so far.

Well said. Also, Redskins fans that boo their own team (see first quarter Sunday) should be permanently banished to Philadelphia. I was very upset last week, but with the FO for changing the offense yet again. WCO looked good this week, with Jason hitting some short throws and receivers getting the YAC. Glad the intermediate and deep stuff was in there as well. New Orleans' defense was pretty banged up so let's hope things will continue to look good moving forward. Arizona has a sneaky tough defense and the Skins will probably have to put up some points to beat them.

He had a great game and when I thought we where looking at another loss he hit the long pass to Moss. I just hope he can build off this win.

If JC cant be buried after 1 bad game then he cant be the man after 1 good game either. We'll know by the end of the season whether he is for real or not.

Re: JC is not what I thought.

I don't see anyone crowning him the next Joe Montana.

The reaction this week is certainly nothing like some of the ridiculous negativity we've seen over the past few weeks. So I think it's perfectly appropriate to celebrate this performance and be happy for him.

I think JC and Zorn are both feeling their way through this, it was good to see their hard work finally pay off. I would think nobody is happier for JC than Zorn today.

Re: JC is not what I thought.

I have to say that I have never seen JC play the way he played on Sunday. It was a tremendous improvement. What I find the MOST impressive is that JC took the criticism and turned it into motivation to play better and do his job. I think that says a tremendous amount about his character and his ability to make it in the NFL. It gave me new hope for him. To see him move the way he did and dodge defenders was so exciting! I'm sure that built trust between Zorn and JC, which is exactly what this team needed. I could watch deep balls to Moss every minute of the day. I LOVE IT!! JC keep it up, PLEASE!

As for the negative, it still concerns me that we are not completing drives and settling for field goals. I can only hope that will soon be a thing of the past.

Re: JC is not what I thought.

Just like last week, I don't think you can tell much about how JC will turn out until he can do this consistently. NO defense is average at best and were definitely getting worn out come the fourth quarter. The running game was great and helped JC alot. JC looked alot more comfortable but the reality is we settled for way too many FG attempts inside the 20 and that needs to change. He also got lucky on the bomb to Moss in the 4th. The ball was underthrown and against a good corner/safety would have probably been picked off and we would be having a different conversation now. I did like that he made the throw thou, even thou Moss was so wide open that it was a no brainer to throw it. It was good to see Moss having a great game.

Not sure what game you were watching but I saw a well thrown ball that hit Moss in stride. Underthrown?? Really?

Go back and look, Moss has to slow down to catch it. If the back wasn't burned so badly by Moss he could have knocked it down and came close to doing that anyway.
