We're not looking for a mix with freezing rain, so if you're worried about that, don't be. And yes, the other forecast outlets seem to be backpeddling on their accumulation forecasts, largely because they went 'all in' last night. You'll remember that we resisted that move yesterday, because we weren't confident enough that the high totals would verify. Either that or we're stubborn, but in a good way  There is still considerable uncertainty with this event, and it will be interesting to see how close to DC the higher end totals wind up. Started sticking less than an hour ago, and we have a good half inch already. Have seen several plows go by, so we'll see how well they keep up with it.

Well i just shoveled 3" deep at 930. Meanwhile Mother Nature laughed in my face while covering over where I just shoveled, I would say about 1" fell back over that. f... shoveling

I'm in NE DC, and I just looked out my front door... Maybe 3 inches out there right now? no more than 4 or 5 at most.. The street in front of my house is clear of snow, except the big banks on the sides where plows pushed all the snow.. the street looks like its already been plowed or else they pre-treated the hell out of my street.

I think most of the big snow is yet to hit today....there is about 6 on my back porch, and it's calling for 4 to 6 more....winds of 50MPH

i havent been to work since friday. normally this is a good thing but damn im going crazy.
its snowing hard down here in baltimore. the record seasonal snow for bmore is 62 inches. yesterday, before todays snow, we were at 60 inches. im guessin were about 64 inches and counting right now. wind is kicking up

Well get ready boys and girls because next monday or tuesday, that storm from california will be here causing snow.....saw it on TWC this morning and my jaw about dropped.
Look guys...we've went far too long around here with too mild winters...it was only a matter of time. Just got the email my work is closing down at 11AM, so this will be my last post for today....We have a blizzard warning until 7PM.....
