I think this was a great pick. He's not just a great OT, but he's the best guy for our system.

Re: Draft News for the Warpath

Great pick, I'm proud of Shanahan and Allen. It's so nice to have Vinny out of here and guys who know how to win here.

My draft thoughts:

1 Rams Sam Bradford QB
WE KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

2 Lions Ndamukong Suh DT
LIONS HAVE A BEAST

3 Buccaneers Gerald McCoy DT
EXPECTED PICK

4 Redskins Trent Williams OT
WOW...GREAT DECISION! SO RELIVED WE DRAFTED A FRANCHISE LEFT TACKLE!

5 Chiefs Eric Berry SS
DID NOT SEE THIS COMING, THOUGHT THEY'D JUMP ON OKUNG. GREAT PICK THOUGH.

6 Seahawks Russell Okung OT
THEY WERE PROBABLY SHOCKED HE FELL, HAD TO TAKE HIM. GREAT PICK.

7 Browns Joe Haden CB
SURPRISING. THEY HAVE SO MANY NEEDS THOUGH, BUT HADEN AND WRIGHT MAKE A GREAT CB TANDEM.

8 Raiders Rolando McClain LB
DID NOT SEE THIS COMING, BUT THEY PICKED THE BEST AVAILABLE PLAYER AND BEST LB IN THE DRAFT. LOVED HOW THE GIANTS FANS BOOED, THEY WANTED HIM!

9 Bills C.J. Spiller RB
EXPECTED TO SEE CLAUSSEN HERE. I HAD THEM PICKED TO TAKE McCLAIN, BUT THEY NEEDED A PLAYMAKER. I EXPECT LYNCH TO BE TRADED FOR SURE NOW.

10 Jaguars Tyson Alualu DE
WHO? I THINK THEY COULD HAVE DONE BETTER.

11 49ers Anthony Davis OT
GREAT CHOICE IF THEY REALLY BELIEVE IN ALEX SMITH. SINGLETARY KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING.

12 Chargers Ryan Mathews RB
SURPRISE PICK, BUT THEY NEED A NEW RB AFTER TURNER AND TOMLINSON LEFT. SPROLES CAN'T BE THE MAIN GUY.

13 Eagles Brandon Graham DE
TRENT WILLIAMS CAN HANDLE HIM, NOT WORRIED ABOUT THIS PICK. THEY HAVE MORE PRESSING NEEDS IN MY OPINION.

14 Seahawks Earl Thomas SS
SEAHAWKS HAD THE BEST DRAFT SO FAR. TWO STUDS ON EACH SIDE OF THE BALL! GOOD JOB, PETE CARROLL.

15 Giants Jason Pierre-Paul DE
THIS MAN IS A BEAST. THEY HAVE CROWDED, TALENTED D-LINE AND THIS ADDS TO IT. COULD OSI UMENURA BE OUT THE DOOR?

16 Titans Derrick Morgan DE
SOLID PICK FOR THEM. THEIR D-LINE IS WEAK AFTER LOSING HAYNESWORTH AND VANDEN BOSCH.

17 49ers Mike Iupati OG
GREAT VALUE PICK. THE 49ERS NOW HAVE A SOLID SIDE OF THE LINE FOR A DECADE. IF THEY REALLY THINK SMITH CAN FLOURISH AT QB, THEY'RE DEFINITELY PROTECTING HIM WELL.

18 Steelers Maurkice Pouncey C
GREAT PICK. SOLID CENTERS ARE TOUGH TO COME BY.

19 Falcons Sean Weatherspoon LB
THEIR DEFENSE NEEDS HELP ALL OVER.

20 Texans Kareem Jackson CB
CB WAS THEIR GREATEST NEED ON DEFENSE. THEY HAVE SOLID LBs AND D-LINE, NOW THE SECONDARY IS UPGRADED. THEY ARE BUILDING ONE OF THE YOUNGEST, STRONGEST DEFENSES IN THE NFL.

21 Bengals Jermaine Gresham TE
NICE TIGHT END. CARSON PALMER HAS A NICE SET OF TARGETS ALL OVER THE FIELD.

22 Broncos Demaryius Thomas WR
IF ROYAL IS GOING TO TRY TO REPLACE MARSHALL, THEY NEED A NEW #2...HE SHOULD DO WELL FOR THEM, HE'S A BIG PLAY GUY.

23 Packers Bryan Bulaga OT
BEST VALUE PICK OF THE DRAFT SO FAR. THEY NEED TACKLE HELP, CLIFTON IS AT THE END OF HIS CAREER.

24 Cowboys Dez Bryant WR
POTENTIAL TO BE DANGEROUS AND SCARY, BUT JERRY JONES LIKE TO TARGET PROBLEM PLAYERS AND IT USUALLY DOESN'T END WELL FOR THE TEAM. ALSO, MILES AUSTIN ONLY HAS A YEAR LEFT AND ISN'T RE-SIGNED YET. SHOULD BE INTERESTING TO WATCH TWO EGOS LIKE BRYANT AND ROY WILLIAMS TRY TO LIVE TOGETHER.

25 Broncos Tim Tebow QB
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? JOSH DANIELS' JOB IS ON THE LINE HERE. HE'LL BE A GENIUS OR UNEMPLOYED. HUGE RISK. ALSO, WITH ORTON AND BRADY QUINN ALREADY AT QB...WHY? THEY CAN'T USE HIM AS A TRICK PLAYER WITH A ROUND 1 PICK, HE NEEDS TO BE THEIR QB EVENTUALLY TO JUSTIFY THE PICK. I CAN'T FIGURE THIS ONE OUT BUT WISH TEBOW THE BEST OF LUCK, HE'LL NEED IT IN DENVER.

26 Cardinals Dan Williams DT
GREAT VALUE PICK.

27 Patriots Devin McCourty CB
INTERSTING PICK, HE'S MORE OF A SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER...COULD THEY BE PLANNING ON LIFE WITHOUT WELKER?

28 Dolphins Jared Odrick DT
SOLID PICK.

29 Jets Kyle Wilson CB
THEIR SECONDARY DIDN'T NEED A LOT OF HELP, BUT NOW IT'S ROCK SOLID.

30 Lions Jahvid Best RB
LIONS ARE PIECING TOGETHER A NICE YOUNG OFFENSE. HE'S THEIR BEST BACK SINCE BARRY SANDERS LEFT.

31 Colts Jerry Hughes DE
NO REAL OPINION ON HUGHES, DIDN'T STUDY HIM MUCH.

32 Saints Patrick Robinson CB
THE VALUE OF ANY DEFENSIVE PLAYER THEY PICK WILL BE INCREASED JUST BY HAVING GREGG WILLIAMS WORK WITH THEM.

There were some real shockers last night. I also couldn't believe how many trades the Broncos made.

I believe Philly's trade was not a good deal for them. They gave up more than they ended up with when picking their DE. They could have stayed put and gotten the same-caliber DE without giving up 2 additional 3rd-round picks. DE is deep this year, they must REALLY love Graham.

Dallas and Dez Bryant looks like it could explode in their faces. If he can somehow get over himself and behave, watch out...but I think chances are better that they have issues with him, Roy Williams and Miles Austin together. Roy thinks he's the #1. Miles thinks he is. Dez will think he is too.

The Giants pick scares me. He's a physical freak. Not as much as Orakpo, but he could cause us problems. He's a bit raw as far as football experience, only one season in Division 1 after 2 years at a Jr. College. Lets hope his backflips on Youtube inflated his value beyond his abilities, but he has the potential to be very disruptive to the NJ Giants' opponents.

Dallas took a huge gamble drafting Bryant and i think its got a greater chance of blowing up in their face than it does of working out. Do they have any leaders on their offense to keep these guys in line?

I'm honestly not to worried about the Giants. On paper, they had a scary front 7 last year but it didnt translate to a scary pass-rush on the field. Besides, with Trent Williams and dramatically improved coaching and QB play, i don't think we'll have to worry too much.

I love that despite cutting their LT this offseason and needing a guard as well, the cowboys drafted a head case WR instead. In a draft where the Eagles and the Giants both took pretty good pass rushers, despite having a good push anyway.

That makes us taking a LT an even bigger deal and a nice job by a real HC and GM.

I agree on the Philly move, it sounds like their new guy Roseman is a make a deal for the sake of doing something kinda guy. They could've gotten a quality D player w/out the trade. I also thought Graham was more attractive as a 3-4 OLB, not a 4-3 DE, which is what they run. I wonder if our experience w/Orakpo played into their decision?

Each team in the div. got a player that's got pro bowl talent, but I think Philly might've gotten the most polished player that is ready to play. Maybe that's why they traded for him.

I hated that the boyz got D. Bryant, just because of his ability, but hopefully he's like Antonio Bryant was for them.
